Punjab stole Sindh's water in the past which lead to a trust deficit such that consensus on Kalabagh Dam and other reservoirs has become impossible. I am not saying this is happening currently, but YOU ONLY LOSE TRUST ONCE.

Instead of recognizing this theft and expressing guilt over this shameful attitude, Punjabi chauvinists chose to use the same old scapegoat that they have i.e. India. These water thieves even went on to declare opponents of Kalabagh Dam as RAW agents.

PDF jingoists are requested to make a visit to Sindh and then ask who is the water thief. They will get an answer very different from their expectations.

----------------------------
The ordinary people of Punjab are, however, not responsible for this. Not all Punjabis are chauvinists but a handful of them are. Unfortunately, the entire country has to face consequences for the greed of a few.

I agree, and it's something that is ignored. There's a reason no one trusts the Punjab government. People can harp on about Pakistan, but it's always about Pakistan only when Punjab is benefiting or action is being taken against someone else. Never heard people saying we're all Pakistanis when Punjab might have to suffer for someone else.... it never happens

I'm from Karachi, been to Interior, some lovely people there, and some very corrupt ones. Sindh depends on Indus water too, and has suffered from previous decisions in past.

Btw, I support the Kalabagh dam, but trust deficit isn't there because people hate Pakistan, it's because the last time people said it would all be okay, it wasn't

The issue is not dams or water sharing within province. The problem remains that Pakistanis try to blame India for water shortages when in fact India has not violated IWT ever. I even got a negative rating just for saying that in this thread. :D

There is a system known as telemetry installed it and go ahead , if one wants to address the issue instead of playing politics..

Isn't that always the case for Pakistan?
Isn't Creation itself was the greed of few ?

Sindh suffers from mismanagement and no representation, just like Baluchistan. Blame your leaders not the federal government!

So does Punjab, yet Punjab gets a massive share of resources.

One small example, if I may. Recently, CAA was hiring Assistant Directors. 10 seats on Merit, 2 for Sindh Urban, 3 for Sindh Rural, 2 for KPK, 1 for Balochistan.

FORTY SEVEN for Punjab.

When Quota seats are highers than Merit seats, and well higher than percentage of population, you know there's a problem

Punjab is the breadbasket to the nation. In a country where 90% of the water is used for agriculture, do you really have to ask "WHY"? University of Agriculture in Rawalpindi worked on seed and crop rotation, but you know parties in Sindh and Balochistan are not interested. If you can plant channa in thal, you can plant them in Sindh, but greased palms and vested interests hold the nation back 20 years.

Quota system is a complete and utter failure, recruitment should be based on Merit.

Success is not a necessary reward to keep on doing what is right and correct.

Back to the topic, the danger that is created by convincing a whole population about an enemy is becoming more and more tangible every day. Nothing motivates like the fear of being out of water in an agricultural country like Pakistan and such fears are stoked to benefit a few. Facts such as pointing out that India has never violated IWT are therefore punished.

But, facts remain facts., ignored or not. :D

Mr. Einstein
If your brain is larger than mine, why don't you represent Pakistan in arbitration cases and win against India regarding water theft.

You cannot answer the issue that I raised regarding Punjab's role. At best, you can only resort to personal insults.

There is no issue to answer, please read post no 99 in which I explained everything in great detail. I am not in the habit of repeating myself.

Post #99: Sawal gundum, jawab chana, actually, lots of chanas. "Whataboutery" at its finest. :D

Pakistan will never get any traction with its water shortage issues internationally unless it can show a violation of IWT by India, which it has not been able to do to date.
