Goodness Gracious Me - Superman is Indian....!!! - YouTube

Back on topic:
Actually goras apply to the term "Indian food" to anything from the subcontinent including Peshwari naan bread, kabuli pellow (which are clearly not of Indian origin). Furthermore their love for "curry" dishes have nothing to do with actual Indian food served in traditional homes but rather westernized versions of the local food.

Secondly, with is really funny is that food served in Pakistani/Indian restruants in the UK tastes awful, i visited several eateries when i was at uni and i must say, nothing beats my home made kabuli pellow and Dahi baingan.

And most of the food does NOT have beef in it other than some specialty items. Most of the Mughlai food has Chicken or Mutton.

Well, there are many foods which use beef in Pakistan, but may use mutton or lamb in India.

All the kebabs are beef. Samosas have beef. Qeema ki biryani is beef.

I remember the first time I saw samosas without beef and I was like WTF?

Beef in Samosa. :woot:

I thought they used Aloo. :D

Really? Ive never even heard of beef samosas?
99% of samosas here have aloo. The remaining 1% varies from keema to chowmein! :D

Most of the dishes though do have a mutton or chicken base! Maybe Pakistani versions use beef in more dishes! Awadhi cuisines though have a specialty in mutton!

Pakoras have vegetables; samosas have beef.

Sometimes, we add chopped hard boiled egg to the minced beef in samosas, shami kebabs, etc.
Yeah we do that too - add hard boiled eggs but in chicken or mutton dishes.

Then I can taste it sometime. :D

Good reason to visit Kerala.

CORONARY HEART DISEASE DEATH RATE BY COUNTRY

What on earth is going on in all those -stans?

Believe it or not but I think that this has got more to do with the consumption of excessive red meat. This is one of the reasons that more and more EU countries and Americans are either resorting to vegetarian food or white meat and fish product's.I personally like red meat but I guess it's not all that healthy especially for the heart!!

From what people are saying - Pakistani's need to tone down on the oil man!

Red meat is a big factor.

I was surprised to see Bangladesh up there, since I thought they ate lots of fish.

I suspect the major factor may be eating fried food (trans fats).
