India and his dreams

I understand the ethnic sentiment but a plebiscite would be unnecessary. Please read this again :

All this will make the separatists in India-administered Kashmir to understand that their desire to join Pakistan-administered Kashmir is unnecessary because both countries will have become the same, politically.

And then with that in context, please read the whole of my previous post again.

Mate you have nice thought...But Pakistan will not agree to convert LOC to IB and India will not give away any land from its control with the pretext of UN resolution...

Even if i am not an advocate of war, the only way out here is either both of our economies goes complete south that they will drop the idea to fight with each other or both of us should fight and settle the deal..

I beleive India still waiting for any formal attack from Pakistan.Last time Modi gave them very good chance to initiate war, but they steppes back..So from Indian POV, 370 is gone...Next step will be to ensure separatism in any form even in politics will be punished to make way for JK political aspirations like any other states of India...

It is not easy and smooth going any way...But India is still on track to gain upperhand in valley...

1. This thread is about Kashmir so a wider mention of India and Pakistan will enter.

2. I speak of the troubles and concerns of Muslims in Indian Kashmir and I also speak of the troubles and concerns of the Kashmiri Pandit refugees. There must be something like Nelson Mandela's Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

3. There are many Pakistanis too who desire peace with India, the most well-known being the Aman Ki Asha people.

4. Pakistan internally is not some harmonious welfare state. If Mashal Khan had not been lynched he would have been termed by some PDF Pakistanis as a "Liberal traitor". What's wrong if I suggest some solution to this ?? Mashal's ideology was universal.

Please read post# 7.

Mate i can assure you that for Pakistan ,Kashmir is so sensitive that without a bloody war, things are not getting resolved.

You tend to see the world in ideal way.

Mate you have nice thought

I agree that I look at the Kashmir issue and other things in an ideal way but what I am suggesting is practical and implementable.

My idea is derived from Gaddafi's solution for Kashmir. Added some of my bit as well.

You should start this direct democracy socialist system in a small island and see if that would work there.

It worked in Libya and it is being implemented in Venezuela. Two different kinds of countries, ethnically and geographically.

And just direct democracy, without the socialism part, has been the system in Switzerland for long.

Next step will be to ensure separatism in any form even in politics will be punished to make way for JK political aspirations like any other states of India

For that, the sensible and Progressive non-separatist among the Kashmiri leaders should be allowed to freely govern or lead. These include the newer ones like Shehla Rashid and Shah Faesal, and the older ones like M.Y. Tarigami and Omar Abdullah.

I wish there was some Kashmiri representation on PDF so that such discussions here can be made known to the Kashmiris. There was one member actually some years ago - Wani Ainan, but he sadly just spoke of the police and military suppression of the Kashmiri citizens and not about any possible solutions. But I think if he was present now he could be convinced that there are peaceful ways to end this dispute, like the one I listed.

I agree with you but you are thinking too much of idealism..Kashmir valley has moved on from such kind of thoughts when since separatism started...
