Our friendly SL fisherman have been caught entering Indian territory on Purpose too, for poaching for tuna. This has been happening since ages, Indian fisherman from kerela and tamil Nadu might cross into sri lankan side, but sri lankan fisherman go right upto Andhra pradesh and Odissa
More SL fishermen & their catch seized by Indian coast guard
Poaching of tuna is a serious security lapse, say police - The Hindu
Sri Lanka now asks India to release fishermen
so sir, you can clearly see , Both side's are at fault as i have said before
Sorry but
1. SL Fishermen does not trespass to Indian water like how the TN poaching fleet does, No does the SL govt try and lie about occasional poaching done by few Lankan fishermen from time to time.. They let the Indian law deal with it.. They dont make it a political agenda.. The SL authorities respect the law of the sea and IMBL unlike those in TN.. If you want to see the difference between the two issues pls read this..
Maarten Bavinck, director at the Amsterdam-based Centre for Maritime Research has been researching the impact of the Indian incursions. He told IPS that more than half the estimated 5,000 trawlers based in South Indian fishing harbours like Rameshwaran and Nagampathan depend on Sri Lanka fishing grounds for their catch.

Not denying SL fishermen too tress pass time to time but pls dont even try to equate the two
2. No Kerala fishermen have been arrested in SL waters.. Not of any significant number anyway.. Only those in in organised crime in TN seems to be oblivious to IMBL
I hope you will understand the simple point based explanation given, Because it seems the detailed facts presented over 3 pages seemed to have just slipped over your head, While most of the other posters have at least acknowledged clear facts
