India abruptly puts off border talks with China

India shown middle finger to china 'YET AGAIN'. The talks were held before because china wanted to talk.... Now india don't give Sh1T About what china wants. India will get more aggresive after Agni-5 test.... Not even india but many small nations showing Middle finger to china. Feels sad about idiotic communist nation 'china'. They were dreaming big but even after being 2nd largest economy, they been treated like SH1T....

. .
Doesn't matter, does it? as long as they are Indians.:)
Chinese have a rather simplistic view of the world, probably 'cause of 'Personality cult' culture they have after the cultural revolution.
It some times bothers me when i see Chinese people thinking of Mao as a hero or intellectual when all he did was killing the poor and dissenting Chinese people in the name of modernity, pride and nation building. religion, communism, aggressive nationalism based on races or religions - ideologically motivated people have always been dangerous and inconsiderate of human lives.

Muslims have a far higher birthrate than non-Muslims in India.

One day, India will be a Muslim-majority country. It is inevitable. :azn:

NEW DELHI: India took the unusual step of postponing boundary talks with China scheduled for next week. Though no reasons were given, sources hinted the decision was taken at the highest levels of the government. This is the first time in all these years that the boundary talks have been postponed.

In a cryptic statement, MEA spokesperson Vishnu Prakash said, "We are looking forward to the 15th round of Special Representative talks in the near future and the two sides remain in touch to find convenient dates for the meeting." China's envoy Dai Bingguo was scheduled to be in India for the 15th round of special representatives' talks with Shivshankar Menon, national security adviser, starting November 28. While some sources said it was a scheduling problem, the fact that India called off the talks just two days before the dialogue indicated the issue was more serious.

The last-minute postponement raised eyebrows here. The SRs were scheduled to discuss and set in place a mechanism to maintain peace and tranquility on the border pending a settlement. During the recent meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao, the boundary issue had come up for discussion, where the two leaders were reportedly looking forward to establish the new initiative.

However, Indian government sources had indicated that China's position on Jammu & Kashmir was a point of growing concern for New Delhi. The dissonance between the two sides happened after the East Asia Summit in Bali. Sources said the Chinese side had raised some demands that India found unacceptable. But both sides were keeping mum on the issue.

In Beijing, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson too was vague. Responding to a journalist's question on the upcoming border talks, he said, "Currently, the two sides are still in touch on the specific arrangements including the date of the meeting and I do not have information at this stage."

The SRs are working on developing a framework for the settlement of the boundary dispute. It will be on the basis of this framework that the actual border contours will be drawn.

Indian policies are independent, we do not allow anyone to interfere in our policies unlike many countries who bows down to america.

US is not even connected to our problems with Chinese. Listen mate, you're seeing this as some sort of new "COLD WAR"... that's totally nonsense. We have a problem with China long before USA even had interest in the region. I am telling even before we (re)joined India before which we kingdoms. That time also there was no USA and we still had issues.

Today it is simply an extension of that since entire India and entire China are two big countries now. Mao and his other cronies of Communism only made it worse. US just happens to be in luck to find such an favorable disposition politically for them in the region. That is all.

This isn't a stupid US-India vs China-Pakistan thing. It is much older and much before that.

No, actually it is India who is pushing for a "border mechanism" to prevent border incursions from turning into a full-blown conflict.

You don't see us crying about border incursions every day, that is the Indians. :azn:

We don't need a border mechanism, we hold the high ground, and can easily slap India down again just like 1962. Only India will benefit from a border mechanism.

So it's good that the talks are off.

.
^the border mechanism was suggested by your uncle wen. why dont you protest against it and stay a few days in a black hotel
it'll be a much needed relief for pdf as well

What if I said this:

Fu*k Wen Jiabao and Hu Jintao!!

Now I'll be spending three days in a black hotel room, please save my seat for me when I get back.

And again, China does not need a border mechanism, it is not us who are crying about border incursions every day. If the CPC wanted to stop the incursions, then they would be stopped.

your internet machismo is adorable. now try actually going to beijing for it. and while you're at it tell uncle wen he doesn't need a border mechanism, what a noob he must be, right?

as for saving your spot, you are the crown jewel of pdf, nobody can be quite like you.

I love how you have so much faith in the CPC. You always try to convince yourself that they hold a better image of India than we do.

When in fact it was this same CPC, which transferred nuclear weapons to Pakistan, and calls the Dalai Lama a "terrorist"... both of which are much further than I would personally go.

I call the Tibetan government in exile "separatists", while the CPC calls them "terrorists". Now tell me who is more nationalist? :azn:
