Just see Kashmiri separatists, Arundati Roy, Vir Sanghvi, Madhu Badhuri, Prashant Bhushan. They are the toast of the human rights activists, so why exactly is SaffronSoldier's views unplatable? Then of course there are people claiming how to be a true liberal democracy we should allow people freedom to air their views, so let him voice his views.

I don't see any reason why anyone should be spared if they make seditious remarks in public. If those you mentioned have openly made statements like some Region of India should be independent, they too are guilty of a crime. Plain and simple.

The separatists in Kashmir receive pensions, public housing, and free medical treatments. Wont be surprised if more and more people speak up on similar lines, it is a profitable business.

Vote Bank Politics has meant that almost every Government at the Centre is spineless on such issues. It's high time a few horrible examples were made out of such seperatists. But no such move can be expected from a sellout like Congress. It's tragic that even the so-called Nationalist Parties too aren't immune to it. Vaiko, the MDMK chief from TN, is an open fan of LTTE and has talked of TN breaking away from India if India were to abandon the Sri Lankan Tamils. Today, he's an ally of BJP.

I thought the OP was talking about leading an Armed Struggle for the independence of Rajastan/Rajputana.

Besides, to me, as long as someone's willing to find a better solution for themselves within the Union of India, it's perfectly fine.

One can be secular, liberal and Nationalist at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive principles.
