It's all harmless banter till it becomes too serious..I mean Bengalis on both side of the border donot fight over the Pala Legacy (they changed World History), then why do Indians and Pakistanis?

Vikramshila University is in India (destroyed by Central Asian Turks)

It's more like Romania claming Roman Empire as it's heritage and scoffing at Italians by saying "there was no Italy before 140 years ago". The logic being Romania 'owns' anything that carries it's name. Romania, Rome.

Italy, Italians? Artificial country only made 150 years ago full of wannabe Christians converts who follow a Asiatic religion called Christianity. Bah !!!

Only thing is in this case it is not so cut and dried

Major IVC sites on the level of Harappa and Mohenjo daro can be found deep within Indian territory

Even a map like this would give a 70:30 split (in favour of Pak)

No. If you look at map of India as a whole IVC sites are foiund on the countries periphery bordering Pakistan with less than 5% Indian population. That way there are IVC sites in Afghanistan etc. No civilization unless a island is boxed in. They tend to have a foci and then gradually fade out as you go distal. If you look at Egyptian civilization it's influence extended as far south as Sudan and even Somalia. But non of that detracts from the fact that the root was in what is now Egypt.

Have you taken a look at the Rakhigarhi skeleton sample study? That itself would point to the fact that descendants of the IVC are spread through out North West India (roughly 20-25 percent of entire Indian area)

What you say is true..But the Biggest Port of IVC didnot exist in Indus Valley but rather in a place totally outside of Indus Valley..Your theory would have held water, if the cities and settlements found in India would have become gradually smaller in size to the point of insignificant hamlets...But that is definitely not the case...even if the area of distribution between India and Pak regarding IVC is like 70:30, the distribution of major sites is 60:40 (if we go by just UNESCO defined major settlements)

My point is the centreline of IVC was not a thin rod like axis but rather a broad and thick tree trunk

The thing with this is that Pakistanis have absolutely no problem with North-West Indians claiming the heritage of the Indus Valley Civilization. NW Indians only make up around 3-4% of the Indian population and I believe that they are ethno-culturally closer to us than the average Indian.

The issue arises when some Kumar Cholagupta from Bihar or Shankar Gagandeep from Uttar Pradesh claims the Indus Valley Civilization at the same time claiming that we are foreigners and have nothing to do with the heritage of IVC.

.
to be honest its shared heirtage of both coutries
It is not.
Do we share taj mahal too??
No.

Its indian right left and center claiming everything. Even if you. Go see some indonesian and malaysian videos in comments you see people eveb claiming their culture.
Its a bad habbit thats needs to be corrected.
