Please notice the same expression and posture of the mother , sitting on the sofa.

The wife in the photos died in a road accident many years ago.

The family did not want to miss her on this happy event so they made a wax figure just for this occasion.

Who are you to judge right or wrong? They are not claiming resurrection, that is your interpretation and very insulting.

Don't disrespect other's way of thinking guys. It's how they find appropriate.. I know, in Pakistan we would have something else with the money spent on that statue.

To OP: True Muslims think very differently about the dead. In our religion, there's a concept of continuous charity (Sadqa e Jariyah), where dead can get benefit from the charitable acts done by their family members. For example, grow fruit trees, dig a well where water is scarce etc.. they go a long way to benefit the dead.

That's why few Pakistanis are against this idea.. but I think this is how the family thought to remember her and we shouldn't disrespect the way they are showing their affection.

They aren't claiming to resurrect her, they aren't doing pooja.. I think they only wanted her to be present in the photographs. I know, according to our religion, it's haraam, but even taking photographs is haraam is our religion.

Now my question to you, do you have photographs of your dead family members? If yes, then that's haraam according to many scholors..
