Incredible Attrocities in Incredible India

.
Why's he whipping him with a straw?!?!

I think i'd have taken all 50 of the attackers out. I'm not joking either.

Yes I remember know with your Bruce Lee tactic, where you can defeat 15 Indians at once because they swing short with less power. You go man, I admire you.

What can I say? Its your forum.

I never claimed it to be "my forum"...I believe that I've always been a supporter of "equal rights to all nationalities" policy.
You can prove me wrong or bias but I do believe that my question is sincere...

When a terrorist kills civilians the whole nation wakes up but when your very own police is commiting attrocities no one even cares to discuss. :disagree:

Yes, because that is what this forum is about - international terrorism is very much a topic related to geopolitics.

Deeply embedded social problems like this are not suitable for discussion on this forum because firstly there are no short answers, and secondly, such threads quickly turn into a one-upmanship game with people trying to prove that "The atrocities in your country are worse than those in mine".

Since this incident is on national TV, I'm hoping that some heads in Bihar will roll, but apart from that there is very little worth discussing.

Perhaps we can discuss the history of Bihar and why its society is so deeply scarred, which I would be willing to do, except that nobody would be interested to read long analyses.
I tried that before with some interesting scholarly articles about the history of the caste system, but the lack of response said it all.

Indeed this is incredibly despicable and incredibly shameful and incredibly India.

Even if you find it incredible, appropriate title would be "incredible Bihar police".
It will be equally inappropriate if someone post picture from Fata and give title "Incredible terrorist Pakistan".
High headedness of police is quite common in sub-continent. But because of slow judicial process people/police intend to deliver judgment on the spot and we get these kind of stories. Lot is being done to reform police, but it will take time to change mindset of police.

This and start paying the police real salaries and give them real training.

If the tendency was restricted to Bihar only I would change the title as suggested above but as I quoted before, we've seen a simmilar case in Chennai, a much better and developped state.

Care to share what efforts are made to reform the police?

No conscious efforts that i know off. What i do know is that things are changing for the better automatically in some states because of the media. Delhi for example. Its the media because of which the police, et all are becomming better, because they have to, if the media airs stories about their corruption, etc, they will be fired.
