With the unemployment rate at over 27% in Greece its not really a surprise that some native Greeks are turning against foreigners. Similar things happened here some years back when the economy took a down turn.

I dont and never will condone such acts of racism and discrimination but there is a problem with accommodating illegal immigrants and is often one of the root causes of racism against foreigners.
