Donglang was never ever under control of Bhutan.
It was simply India telling Bhutan to call it disputed to give us an excuse to operate in the area.

We do not care if China stations a million troops, as long as PLA is unable to complete the road near border it will always be regarded as cowards and a loser.

BTW thepic you posted is of a road located a huge 10 km from border which is a massive distance in mountain areas.

All this drama of Bhutain claiming it to be a part of their territory was done to give India an excuse to operate in their area.

What matters is that the PLA is scared after they got spanked in Doklam, they are still unable to finish the road

The only reason India has AP today is because China left voluntarily, India never won AP in any military victory. They snuck back in like thieves under the cover of night.

Even after half a century later, PLA scurrying away from AP surprises me in 1962.

Despite CPC claiming people of AP to be Chinese citizens by CPC.

I guess CPCs only perceives people of Han ethnic group as Chinese, hence never made any effort to liberate AP or Sikkim.

Of course there is also another reason in the past PLA abandoned the people of China to mercy of Japanese imperial army to ensure they weaken PLA's ideological fellow Chinese nationalist army and PLA can increase its numbers and arms.

China did not leave voluntarily, it was forced too as winter was approaching and passes will get snow blocked thus preventing supplies and reinforcements.
The Chinese troops would have got trapped and slaughtered if they did not flee.

Despite all careful planning for 1962 war as early as 6 months.

PLA chose a very poor time to attack in the end of October, maybe CPC was deluded enough to believe PLA could defeat Indian troops/ reinforcements and also establish permanent bases in AP.

Delusions or poor planning, either case certainly benefited India.
