Economic Daily - China Economic Net May 23 According to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, "Dawn" reported that in 2018, Pakistan's newly added hydropower installed capacity ranked third among 20 countries in the world. In a recent report entitled "2019: Hydropower Status Report - Industry Trends and Insights", the well-known British organization, the International Hydropower Association (IHA), ranked Pakistan third.
According to the report, IHA was established under the auspices of UNESCO in 1995 as a forum for promoting and disseminating good practices in hydropower, advocating continuous improvement and sustainable development of the entire hydropower sector. According to the IHA report, Pakistan successfully added 2,487 megawatts of hydropower in 2018, following China (8540 MW) and Brazil (3,866 MW). Turkey's new installed capacity is 1085 megawatts, and Angola's new installed capacity is 668 megawatts, ranking fourth and fifth respectively. India has recently added 535 megawatts of hydropower installed capacity, ranking eighth.

经济日报-中国经济网5月23日讯 据中国驻巴基斯坦使馆经济商务参赞处消息，《黎明报》报道，2018年，巴基斯坦新增水电装机容量在全球20个国家中排名第三。在最近发布的题为《2019年:水电现状报告——行业趋势和洞见》的报告中，英国著名组织——国际水电协会(IHA)将巴基斯坦排在第三位。
报道称，IHA于1995年在教科文组织的主持下成立，作为促进和传播水电良好做法的论坛，倡导整个水电领域部门的不断改进和可持续发展。根据IHA的报告，巴基斯坦在2018年成功增加了2487兆瓦的水电，紧随中国（新增8540兆瓦）和巴西（新增3866兆瓦）之后。土耳其新增装机容量1085兆瓦，安哥拉新增装机容量668兆瓦，分别位居第四和第五。印度最近增加了535兆瓦的水电装机容量，排名第八。
