This is going to do more damage than good. Imran Khan seems to be having a short sighted strategy here. He is only concern about ousting Nawaz [or perhaps paving this own road clear] and not thinking about other aspects, but this is going to hurt PK. And moreover Nawaz is not that easy piece of cake.

Nawaz was himself a child of the military establishment (read General Gillani) just like MQM or Bhutto . He was the heart of IJI which was funded and organized by Pakistan Army and ISI.

The truth is new MQM PK is pro PTI(we saw that when they hailed PTI on raiwand march) therefore Nawaz is trying to revive Altaf to save future coalitions in Karachi or maybe to pressurize Farooq Sattar to back off ...The problem is he is totally delusional that Karachi is no more in 80s era ..

Of course, Nawaz Sharif was child of the military establishment. But the debate is on MQM at this moment.

That was before the plan has changed. Maybe that was the plan all long considering Nawaz Sharif was too shift to hasten the military operation like the first two times.

As for PTI collaboration with MQM, that is its own language to decipher which has no relevant to PMLN regardless of what PTI does given their past collaboration with TTP earlier. They change the minds like weathers in North America does.

Nawaz Sharif needed MQM gone in present similarity in the past too so he could operate Karachi freely with no more MQM to threaten anymore. Karachi is economical port, and Nawaz Sharif has been eyeing on Karachi to bring more investments for the time being.

Nawaz Sharif never had intention for peace with MQM despite of its misplaced intention earlier. Any kid can tell you that given the unhealthy history between MQM and PMLN.

Nawaz was in a strong coalition with Altaf against PPP in 1990 elections Go see the results of those elections,.Nawaz was in no position to form a govt. till they were in coalition with third biggest vote bank holder aka MQM.. See the military-Nawaz-Ataf connection ?

Read between the lines regarding the military takeover and military operation against MQM. That should give you some clues.

The only reason Musharraf supported MQM was to get their support in retaining presidency , besides PMLQ he didnt have much friends around.In Musharafs eyes Nawaz also as a RAW agent for what he did on Kargil so he has his own views with regards to MQM (which i dont agree with btw)

Musharraf still support MQM just in case if you hadn't noticed. He was the first to voice opinion against Nawaz Sharif directly for launching military operation against MQM. He didn't name General Raheel for the military operation against MQM, rather he named Nawaz Sharif.

Having MQM brings nothing to Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif needed MQM gone badly. MQM goes so the investments come, otherwise no one would invest in a country coupled with terrorism and criminal networks.

Military takeover due to Zarbe azab being extended to Karachi ?? what are you smoking, Karachi operation started on orders of CJ Iftikhar Chaudhary in 2011, Zarbe azb was planned and launched by the military (not nawaz) in 2014..You are totally disconnected dear..

Bottomline - Nawaz can form alliance with any one(including anti state elements) till it serves his purpose and leave them when not needed.

I take it you didn't hear the rumor during dharna in the year 2014, and the unpleasantry exchanged between General Raheel and Musharraf, in fact warned Musharraf in the strong worded.

Zarb-e-Azb started against TTP for the purpose of eradicating terrorism, and then that mission extended to Karachi to target MQM with the cooperation between both Sharifs which is on official record whether you believe the narrative or not.

Zarb-e-Azb is military operation, but at the end, it's Nawaz Sharif call; not General Raheel.

From what i am seeing, it is Imran Khan that is joining anti-Pakistani elements that threatens the stability of politically, economically of Pakistan. His pro-TTP, dharna that took cities and towns as hostage and almost unleashed military takeover while used like toilet paper not being realizing that he he was actually being used. Then, dharna cost Pakistan economy more than 500 billion rupees including the damaging on the local businesses which PTI took cities and towns as hostage against their wills. Now PTI has adapted MQM as next their best friend. In fact, PTI is also in close book with Balochi gangsters in Karachi too.

Wake up. A lot has changed. General Raheel is not stupid man to trust PMLN if he didn't trust PMLN. Both are looking for the bigger pictures which is investments that can stabilize the economy and take the nation to the future.

As you can see PML-N rescuers are everywhere. No one should say anything to NOBLE HIS highness NS. Are you guys serious? The loan from IMF and world bank is rising day by day, NS isn't saying shit against his friend modi. saying shit about army. who is true friend of India.
Has His Holiness has done anything good for this country other than spending major chunk of budget which should have been spent on education, hospitals and creating better jobs for future generation was spent to make Metro Buses , Orange Train to profit his own Itefaq foundries. and to score points in front of blinded people of this country.

We need change we need a government of people who serves us not scare us, where police is there to help us not to act thugs, where one get quality education in govt. school not in schools like roots, beacon house etc where one can get quality health care in govt. hospitals And govt. of people who prosecute and punish people like mulana abdul aziz (red mosque) on his statement on APS SCHOOL attack and acakzai on his anti army statements etc

Keep in mind most of the people defending Nawaz Sharif are themselves product of the corrupt system. They have benefited from the corrupt system in the forms of bribes, contracts or jobs. The black economy in Pakistan is worth billions of dollars and employs hundreds and thousands of people. It is in the interest of those people that the status quo continues, and they can continue to loot the country.

An acquaintance i know is a hardcore Nawaz Sharif supporter. He used to be a Customs Appraiser, is a millionaire through bribes and corruption. In his mind corruption is not that big of an issue, just like Nawaz Sharif supporters in this forum. There is no doubt that Nawaz Sharif is officially a security threat to this country, and is an economic terrorist.

Corruption erodes progress badly, but political instability has the capacity to halt all progress all together and makes no guarantees of the cause being fulfilled. And in Pakistan's case, when you hear from outside perspectives, they cite political instability as far more of an issue than corruption.

The real winners here, as before, are those who are using PTI as a useful pawn to keep the government as unsettled as they wish to make it more pliable to their demands. The pressure is turned up and down as needed.

Ahh! You hold the same view since the Dharnas summer of 2014 and I still disagree with you on this. But we both consistently oppose Imran Khan agitations...
