Imran khan's PTI is set to approve a grant of Rs277m for ‘jihad university’.

Can PTI members or Imran Khan ever answered the question: "Why then aid only for Haqqania School? Why not to distribute the aid equally in all the Madaris of all the fiqhs? After this foolishness of Imran Khan, question arises why the poor children of other private madrassas don't have the right to to good education and jobs?"

No. Neither Imran Khan, nor PTI members ever answer it.

Second question: "Why Imran Khan not giving this 300 million Rs to the Government Schools and make them better so that poor students could study in these schools"?

PTI blind members should understand that it is not the "responsibility" of the Government to fund any "Private School", but Government is "Fully and only Responsible" for the government schools, and the numbers of government schools and their standard should be so high that poor people children go their instead of privately run madrassas.

Therefore, if Imran Khan really wants to do good for the children of poor people, then he should do it the "Right Way" of creating lot of government schools, and not by "Wrong Way" of giving money to only one private madrassa of his own choice in order to get the cheap political popularity.

I am not against madrassahs but i have seen the kind of teachers there are they really turn kids into some zombies, people who teach them just present life in hell and heaven binaries and in a rigid way. I am not saying the ideologies taught to them or curriculum would be wrong. But the extremist or sort of rigid attitudes they are taught at madrassahs where one major thing they learn is that if someone is doing something which isnt in accordance with islam ( or in their opinion its not according to islam even if its allowed by islam) then they could force people to stop doing it. Unless its something really bizarre like those chinese massage or some whore centres running in islamabad neighborhoods before lal masjid, people shouldnt be forcefully stopped.

The true essence of religious education comes with teaching tolerance plus knowledge of world and sciences is also necessary. Seriously madrasshas teachers should be specially trained and focus shouldnt be only on perfecting sounds and tallafuz it shoukd also encompass modern education as a compulsory part of curriculum.

These madrasshas take wrong advantage of peoples poverty. They will induct kids from poor backgrounds by promising to provide food and clothing but they in exchange for that favor they teach them intolerance and rigidity of views and not true islamic knowledge.

Just two days back soem pakistani guys here getting hyper at the news that tunisia has removed law barring muslim women from marrying non muslims. We all know islamic ruling about these marriages. But islam also says it doesnt force you. So if she still wants to marry that will be wrong but a matter between herself and God.

But Pakistanis guys were getting so unreasonably hyper, it was so shamelessly intrusive i mean now are you going to want to have a say in your neighbors daughters marriage or some random womans marriage? Why dont you actually start hiding under couples beds if you are concerned

.
wth .. timing is of news when they are trying badly to put Pakistan on terror list .. i think both dawn and IK are working against Pakistan interest .. they could have made Islamic university but there is nice way to do..

The answer should be pretty obvious. He has an understanding with the folks running this school and they have committed to making the reforms for which the funds have been given. Other institutions have not made such a commitment and in the KPK government's assessment cannot be trusted with these funds.

An alternate explanation is that this is a model project, and that other schools will also receive funds in the future.

Why Imran Khan not giving this 300 million Rs to the Government Schools and make them better so that poor students could study in these schools
These schools have been around for a long time, and whether we agree with their ideology or not, have been successful in administering a large number of schools with thousands of children. This is what is known as Public Private Partnership (PPP). Look it up, its a real thing.

In fact, I found this report by Allah Bakhsh Malik prepared for the Asian Development Bank that looks at PPPs in Punjab. Give it a read. Here is the link

Bro, this is pretty lame excuse.
Before bringing this excuse, you have to prove that such offer of reforms against money was made to the other madaris too.
But there was absolutely no such offer made to the others. Even Imran Khan didn't make this excuse which you a
are making here.

Therefore, at moment it is nothing else than foolish step from Imran Khan for gaining the cheap popularity for political influence.

These schools have been around for a long time, and whether we agree with their ideology or not, have been successful in administering a large number of schools with thousands of children. This is what is known as Public Private Partnership (PPP). Look it up, its a real thing.

Again there are rules for public private partnership:
(1) Firstly government is responsible for the curriculum, and not the other way around.
(2) Secondly, public private partnership is open to all on the bases of equality. What if other madaris too want to have this public private partnership, but when then they were denied and only one madrassa was selected upon the personal wishes of Imran Khan?

And your last excuse was this that in the future other madaris could be included. Once again you don't understand that Government is not allowed to favour any one madrassa of it's choice right from the beginning. It is plain illegal.
Secondly, KKP is providing this money to Haqqani Madrassa right from 2013.
And now in 2018 once again only Haqqani Madrassas has been nominated for the funding.

I request you to please don't fabricate the excuses for wrong doings of Imran Khan from your own pocket.

Once again, the very first responsibility of Imran Khan's government is to open the government schools in big enough numbers so that the poor people are not compelled to send their children to the Madaris.

And even if Imran Khan's government want to have the public private sector, then such schools should have 100% government curriculum. And also this scheme should be not only be open to all the Madrassas, but to all the other private schools and NGOs to get the equal benefit from this government scheme.

Madrassa education: a threat to peace and tolerance

Traditionally, madrassas (seminaries) have been a source of all of knowledge for Muslims where education, even in the science subjects, was provided. With the passage of time, the role of the traditional madrassas has been restricted just to impart religious education. In Pakistan, such religious schools have not been controlled and administered properly, which is the reason why extremist elements are being produced in these religious seminaries. The history of this uncontrolled madrassa system in Pakistan dates back to the 1980s when the US and Saudi Arabia poured almost four billion dollars for setting up religious schools, the madrassas, and, since then, such schools have become the breeding ground for religious extremists in Pakistan, thus worsening the security conditions even more.

Pakistan is a country facing acute security problems. To tackle this issue, one sector is the quality of education in religious schools. The main purpose of education is to enlighten the people, so that they can have a proper understanding about the various issues prevailing in the country, and to educate the people in such a way so that they can distinguish between the good and bad but, unfortunately, this is not the case in Pakistan as the US Commission on International Religious Freedom has researched Pakistani school textbooks to discover that there is religious biasness in almost every madrassa, which leads to societal intolerance and maligns the minority groups.

A large number of the Pakistani population lives in small towns and villages. Poverty, feudalism, illiteracy and lack of awareness leave the people with two choices: either to abandon the education of their children or to induct them in religious schools. Most of the madrassas provide free education, boarding and lodging services to the children, and that is one of the reasons that they are hijacked by religious extremist zealots who hypnotise the minds of the children, hence providing perfect recruits to the extremist organisations. The curriculum, which is taught in these madrassas needs particular importance, as it reflects Islam as a religion of war and hate. Not only in the madrassas but also in the regular schools of the country the, jihad-bis-saif, (jihad with the sword) is highlighted with particular emphasis on Islamic wars, thus neglecting the fact that Islam is a religion of peace as the word Islam itself means peace, purity and submission, and the wars fought in Islamic history had a proper context and reason.

Another problem, which is linked with the current security situation in our society, is the various sectarian schools getting their funding and backing from Saudi Arabia and Iran while dividing Pakistani society into various sects. The sectarian violence in the country has increased over the past years, with thousands of people being killed in the Sunni-Shia conflict. One main cause of this sectarian violence is the madrassas as well since, according to their concept of Islam, only they are on the right path and the others have no right to follow their religious ways and beliefs.

Declaring the followers of other sects ‘kafirs’ or non-Muslims is sort of a normal practice in a majority of the religious seminaries where the target audience is young children. In short, religious extremism, with which the majority of this nation has been hit, is a serious threat and can affect Pakistan for years to come. This problem has to be tackled as soon as possible otherwise the effects will be very grave and can push Pakistan years back. What the majority of madrassas do is they divide society between ‘us’ and ‘them, they divide society on religious lines and thus break the very ideology on which basis this country was founded. The frustrated, jobless and uneducated youth falls prey to such schools and gain their energy from them, which in turn creates hate and disrespect in society. Thousands of madrassas in this country are unregistered and illegal — only in Islamabad there are around 83 illegally constructed mosques and seminaries. One has to notice the number of young children in these schools and what sort of education they are being given. The minds of young children are like wet clay and it can be molded in any form one desires. Unfortunately, in most madrassas, it is being molded in a negative manner. Since the youth is the key to the development of a country, it is time we ask ourselves: is the key to the development of this country not getting rusty? Nearly 80,000 madrassas are unregistered with millions of students playing in the hands of unchecked religious extremists.

Bold steps have to be taken by the government to ensure that misguided madrassas are banned. Curriculum revision has to be properly carried out. It is the authority and the right of the state to make the curriculum of educational institutes. The madrassas have to be registered and the state should have authority over the hiring and firing of the staff. Moreover, the complete overhauling of the curriculum of regular schools has to be undertaken. ‘Peace and tolerance’ should be taught as a separate subject just to mould the minds of young children along the lines of acceptability and tolerance, making them aware of the true picture of Islam. Chapters on peace should be related or taught in line with Islam so the masses can accept such a change. More emphasis should be laid on the topics of tolerance, education and the true meaning of jihad and ‘jihad bin nafs’ (jihad within oneself) should be strengthened. A universal curriculum should also be established, which would be acceptable to all the sects in the country. Within the religious schools’ curriculum, the subject should be taught as well and the importance of education in Islam should be strengthened, emphasising the role played by Muslim scholars and scientists.

Uniformity in education and removing divisions on a religious and sectarian basis are the needs of the hour. The madrassas not only widen a certain kind of ideology to students, they also spread it in society, to the families and extended families of these students, and this has to be stopped otherwise immoral subjects like intolerance and unacceptability will rule our society. Moreover madrassas have to be modernised so that they do not seem alien to the majority of the people in Pakistan, which is only possible when madrassa education does not fall prey to the extremist elements.

Khan Sahib sorry to say that you don't even know a kuddu about what is brewing in Maderressa like Haqqania. These are the power plants build up with the help of U-S of A and Petro Dirhams using Zia regime and they are not a bit of changed in the ideology which is churning out people which are putting our country's a$$ at burner.

Zia was the best and the most powerful leader we ever had.. we won a big battle back then ,had we left it to your bhutto clan Pakistan would been another Syria being ruled by an Assad like guy or worst Balochistan would have been Baloch SSR. we need a new Zia today.. we will have one whether you like or not stinker.

1. Gifted pakistan with altaf

2. Gifted pakistan with Nawaz a curse we are still dealing with.

3. Brought in huge numbers of afghans and their gun and drug culture. Afghan drug culture has badly hurt Pakistani social fabric and youths health. The bacha bazi import from afghanis another gift

4. Rumored to have allowed saudi funding into madrasshas some say action was to counter iranian sectarian madrassah fundings due to 79 revolution which i feel should have been dealg straight up in some other way , till date these saudi funded madrassahs are getting funded ,and running and we are producing zombies like lal masjid. I agree with this part of teachings that shrines worshipping isnt part of islam but these madrassahs are imparting some non islamic or rigid education which islam doesnt advocate. I still recall i read a guys comment on an another forum and it was written many years back when lal masjid op was taking place , its just that i read it recently ,he was associated in general with madrassahs and had his kids enrolled at madrassahs in karachi and his guy was going so emotional for Lal masjid guy that he was like may wahan ja kay khud unki khatir larnay ko tayyar hon against pak army aur masjid ki hifazat karnay kay leeay. Imean.....what?

5. Included death sentence in blasphemy law which isnt really in islam. I am not against blasphemy law but idont believe in death sentence it doesnt even sound real when ppl link with islam. Why would he have to do something like this?

Zia was good in dealing with usa and india, infact even bhutto but they both brought enough evils that our society has still not recovered from plus the over religiosity of our society and want to control others lives in the name of islam has really not proven helpful.

1. Altaf was not Zia's gift..yes you can say mqm was created during his time but it was led by different people than what you see today..The enemys plan was to make Karachi capital of sindhudesh. And pissed off jialas were being used for that.noone remembers it but the idea was defeated.. after Zia's death mqm was mutated into a monster and PPP played a big role. The state didnt intervene timely and streets got bloodier.

2. Nawaz or altaf no one could have guessed their future. Power can corrupt.. had it been some one else other than them they could have done the same. The point is the state controls and punishes such elements. That wasn't done therefore you have such characters still free at large.

3. Aghan refugee problem you see today is because of signing of Genova convention in 1988 which protects the status of refugees and also sanctioning unhcr to help refugees settle anywhere in PAkistan, the letter was signed by PM of the time none other then benazir bhutto.

4. Drugs was always an issue. Let alone pre soviet invasion it was an issue there even before the 20th century Anglo afghan wars.

5. The whole blasphemy thing is misunderstood. It was brought post salman Rushdie episode to avoid incidents like 'a guard killing salman taseer ' so the matter gets resolved in court and not on streets and that only strong evidence be used to convict anyone. Zero people have been judicially executed since then under the law whereas 63 people killed before any trial.its our legal systems failure that couldnt stop extra judicial murder, it's being used politically to blackmail christian peasents to get their land or to settle personal enemies scores, you finish off the law today this behavior will actually multiply .

.
It is unfair that corrupt, secular and liberal PTI government is trying to purchase mullas like Sami-ul-Haq for their own narrow interest by giving such generous grants to his madrassa while sidelining other Madaris. This is nothing but corruption. As a follower of the Panjpiri/Mamati sect of Ishaat-ut-Tawhid wa Sunna, I demand that the government give funds to our network of Madaris, otherwise they will be guilty of stoking sectarianism. Either fund all Madaris or fund none.
