Imran Khan to visit Saudi Arabia next week

delusions  you are just going to beg again. First time didn't work so lets try again. And before you say its because of N league, just remember foreign loans are much older. They are from Musharraf/PPP era.

They have invited him not the other way around. This is off schedule trip so something is cooking. Let's see. Pakistan needs quick money so PM is looking for all options including IMF. We are need of 10 - 12 billion dollars perhaps if half of them can be arranged from our allies than it will greatly neautralize strict IMF conditions.

I also believed that last time, look what happened. PTI ministers on local tv shows were full of shit. And PTI is looking for $20b not 10-12. $15b from IMF and $5b from WB. Even if Saudis give $10b, another $10b will be needed.

Umm okay.In economic terms i don't think Pakistan economy is on anybody's mind.Turkey has its own issues, Saudis their own, China is in a trade war ...so yeah pakistan is on it's own.
Have you had a lengthy discussion with their Deep States regarding Pak?????

Visiting again. Yesterday IK said that we may even not need an IMF program or perhaps cut down version of IMF we may opt in the end if Saudis agree to have a financial deal with us either in the form of money in State bank or oil on deferred charges.

Also Saudis have been cornered in the world after journalist killing so they might need us to reach China. They are getting severe under pressure on diplomatic front from every where. Media, US and EU.
All parties are doing their parts, it's now Pak's turn to do hers....

Seems Nawaz is going UK. When last time IK visited KSA, Nawaz was released on bail.

A month after his last visit to the Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to travel back the country with negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an economic bailout right around the corner, Express News reported.

The country’s premier will leave for the kingdom on October 22 with insiders saying the trip aims to find a way to avoid having to turn to the IMF for a bailout package or at least being in a stronger negotiating position.

Imran has decided to visit the country exactly two weeks before the official IMF bailout negotiations are set to begin with the government.

Two-day visit: Imran Khan in Saudi Arabia on first foreign trip as PM

Sources say that the prime minister will try to woo the Saudi leadership into helping the country tackle the current financial crisis being faced.

Moreover, it is also believed that Islamabad hopes that China and Saudi Arabia would give them Rs5 billion.

Rumors of Imran’s visit to the Arab state began doing the rounds on October 17, when he came out saying that the government might not need to turn to the IMF.

Finance Minister Asad Umar, however, in an interview with a private news channel had said that IMF negotiations were still on.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had also earlier confirmed that Imran would travel to Saudi Arabia to attend an economic conference in Riyadh.

I think this all took turn when the Saudi's were dealt a blow from the West, due to some tricky situation in Turkey.
Now they want to keep Pakistan and more importantly China on their side. As most of the Oil produced from the proposed refinery in Gwadar will be bought by China.
And IK would not be going to KSA again just to negotiate, so this time we might expect some actual contracts to be signed.

Well lets hope whatever happens it turns out to be better for Pakistan and our economy.

if he is going there again only after few weeks then there must be something concrete

Pakistan provides nuclear umbrella to the Saudi and Rasheel Sharif is on the ground to protect.

Russia is also supporting Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Embarrasment and desparation at its peak for Pakistan.
Our PM and Finance minister is are running around the world an literally begging.

I think China is also teaching Pakistan a much neede lesson i.e Others won't bail you out everytime. You must stand up on your feet and do something for yourself.

Maybe the IMF bailout is a no-go because FATF disproves of Pakistan's efforts and Pakistan doesn't want to change it ways.Saudi and UAE are the only solution

I've been known for heavily criticising the current government for it's mishandlings, but even I've got to disagree with your point and ask you how would you propose to deal with this situation. And whatever you say, just know that the solution has to match the time frame. Would love to hear your marvelous solution.

Obviously...After ruling Pakistan for last 10 years this is certainly an embarrasment for IK and his team. They are directly responsible for PIA,steel mill downfall. I still wonder why Ishaq Dar ran away. Probably hard work affected his health too. Taking so much loan in just 10 years was a great achievement. I wonder where did the money go. I still believe there is an international campaign against NS. World feared that a man of this magnitude can make Pakistan global super power. And US was literally on the verge of becomming NS bitch. What a great leader he was.

yes, this time the begging bowl is made of u concrete instead of plastic
Yeah we build concrete toilets too in case you are interested. Higly durable specially designed for gangadesi asses.

This is not to critize IK and co for current happenings. Just pointing out how deplorable the situation has become.
