Nobody is calling for the literal imposition of sharia exactly as it was in those times. the world has changed, society and people along with it. what an Islamic system enshrines in the context of Pakistan is a constitution, governance and a set of laws that does not contradict or conflict with anything in sharia. moreover, the objectives resolution would be fully implemented so no criminal, corrupts, murderers can sit in parliament as they have all these years, but rather would be served justice in independent courts free from political interference.

what are you trying to imply is utter nonsense..Islam and shariah is what is written in Quran and sunnah anything else is man made... apologist cannot try to interlink it and argue that it is shariah compliant that makes it look like an even bigger joke than it already it!

i think i know where you stand now. when europeans invaded north america and australia they wiped out indigenous populations so thoroughly through murder, rape, disease, that within a century after first contact those indigenous peoples' numbers had declined by 95-98%. what remained of them were enslaved or forcefully assimilated (as you like to call 're-educated') to forget their culture, heritage and traditions. today they are the poorest, most deprived of opportunty and smallest minorities in their respective countries.

is that what you want? the western pseudo-liberal brainwashing is quite evident in you. holding the view that colonialism was good, western 'civilizatioion' is the greatest and all others are destined to be subservient to it, is quite frightening frankly. please educate yourself.

one is a politicised handout to certain sections, and mostly not even reaching the parts that really need it, to increase their votes. the other is a system wide economic safety net as they have in western countries, not plain handouts. this ensures that no one is below a fairly high standard of living and employment, taxing the rich heavily to uplift the lower sections and maintaining that minimum standard through thick and thin. but for that you need commitment and selflessness, which Imran has.

I like a lot of what you are saying. But I want to correct you in some places.
Socialism has not collapsed. Only some flavors of it, like Nehruv's and Nasser's have failed, for different reasons. But socialism is still alive and kicking in Scandinavia, the model country for all Muslims(because the Islamists not hate USA, Canada,UK etc). Every country has some form of socialist net unless we are talking about Somalia.

Welfare state is not a problem. But what the hell is an 'Islamic Welfare state'? Does it mean people pay 2% taxes only as zakat? If they will pay more, then why call it Islamic? As it is Pakistan has tax to GDP ratio above 2% and is struggling to make ends meet. From next year, the states will foot some of the defence bill, because the federal government is not able to earn money.

I agree with the most basic point you appear to be saying. Why look for solutions to economy in Islam? If you have a headache, you don't apply balm to your knee.


As a side point, did anyone notice that in the OP's video, IK was saying about some Umar law being followed in Scandinavia?!! Wow!! Blew my head right away. The mullah's have finished rewriting Pakistan's history and now they are rewriting other countries' histories.

Some of the laws are not condusive to modern society. Look at primitive rape laws- four witnesses needed, blood money can be given an murderer is set free (Raymond Davis case remember?), stoning, and blasphemy law, punishment for converting, etc.

wel do you know what they did to them?
they wiped 95 percent of them out and gave them reservations to live in while taking the rest of their land!!

today these natives live in their reservations in poverty, pay no taxes, all they have is their income from tobacco sales and casinos that the tribe owns and thats about it. and the casinos are recent too so just a bit of improvement. they hate white americans more then anything have their own laws in the reservations and do their own thing.
i know this becuase i live not even an hours drive from a reservation lol.
