It's a photo opportunity politically, nothing more.
Only health professionals should administer polio drops or any medicine for that matter.

Yes, because only a medical professional should decide which patient is eligible for polio drops. The risk is when you allow random non-medical volunteers to give out polio drops mischief can occur, for example the polio drops can be tampered with being given out can be watered down medicine, some people may think they have polio but actually don't and still go and take the polio drops. Also health side affects should explained to the patient before giving polio drops. The way the United States got rid of polio was medical doctors and medical professionals administered the polio drops at various location and people would line up and take the drops or injection (injection came first).
This is how modern medicine works (medical professionals administer medicine), I understand Pakistan is a third world country but this doesn't mean Pakistan has to follow the same path as another third world country in having random volunteers give out polio drops because too many bad things can happen.

The reason for polio vaccination success in India was huge number of volunteers who would be present at railway stations, bus stations, every corner of road and they will also knock on doors to ask if your child has been vaccinated...these volunteers are common people like you and me.
The man, who has been photographed by almost every major magazine in the world seeks a photo opportunity for giving polio drops to a baby? -- genius!

Yea its politics, yes its a photo op but its one that may help thousands of children avoid a life long debilitating illness or death.
When a guy pulls a child from a burning building you dont question his motives you just say thank you.
I agree with your sentiments. The point of my post was because of the fanboyism of PTI supporters which I abhor; Imran isn't a flawless messiah, he's a human like you and me and will make human decisions.
You're doing the typical PTI-sheep practise of putting words in people's mouths. Show me where I've said "Shaukat Khanum and the future Namal College are political postures". If you can't, then accept that your assumption is illogical and wrong and don't spouse mounds of un-needed rhetoric.
The difference between SK and NC and this is evident - the first two are there to stay and serve the public non politically; this photo is nothing more than a political photo opportunity - to boost Imran's support and his policies - unless his profession obliges him to regularly administer polio drops.
You are making stuff up from your own imaginations, vast majority of IK supporters are Pakistan's educated/under education class or International students/expats. You are abusing their intelligence by making such ludicrous statements.
The elections are fast approaching, and yes there might be a propaganda aspect to this photo, but that's not really what this is about. Indirectly Imran Khan is addressing to the polio vaccine issue, and just like what everyone else has said, have you seen any other major political figure even try to give a darn about this problem?
Besides,at this point its better to be a PTI "sheep" in the flock rather than someone who wants to stick with the status quo.
