Imran Khan Back On His Feet (May 21, 2013)

This morning, Mr. Imran Khan was fitted with a specially designed spinal support, or brace. Following this, he stood upright and unsupported for the first time since his injury two weeks ago. He had a series of X-rays of his spine which confirmed continued healing and excellent alignment of his back bones. His X-rays were reviewed by a team of radiologists and surgeons who were very pleased with the results. Shortly thereafter, Imran walked unaided for over 300 metres. He remained pain-free throughout this time. We anticipate that Imran will Inshallah, be discharged from hospital tomorrow afternoon. He will continue to receive regular physiotherapy and is likely to need to wear the spinal support for some weeks to come. Imran will gradually increase physical activity over the next few weeks with a return to his full functional capacity expected in approximately six to eight weeks.

As in the past, Mr. Imran Khan will be paying the entire cost of his hospitalization at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. He has been touched by the numerous offers to pay for his care made by friends and well-wishers and has asked that anyone wishing to do so make a contribution to the care of the poor cancer patients at Shaukat Khanum instead.

This is what democracy is. Try a person, if he fails, reject him next time and bring another new one.

Out of the 180+ million we don't have enough honest and patriotic citizens who can comply to all the clauses of the constitution and sit in the parliament? If we don't have then everyone except the politicians who are tried again and again are lower than animals.

He needs to get back on his feet soon ...party is weak now ...he need to give incouragment to the people of the Pakistan ...and he has to be back for a strong opposition ...

Imran would have got people from all corners of Pakistan pulling in the same direction if he had won.

Now we have one party dominant in each province.

Do you know what that means? Lots and lots of bickering and arguing when things need to be done.

We have lost such a golden opportunity, Pakistanis just do not understand the gravity of what has happened. 5 years of Nawaz might as well be 100 years of Stalin.

He will be 65 when the next elections happen, if he wins we will only get 5 years of his governance which is not enough time.

Pakistan has a legacy of missed opportunities and that is why we are a 3rd world country teetering on becoming a failed state.
