Sometimes your namesake overestimates his value in these situations and gets caught in the middle because of it.

Looks like Indians are more concerned about Pompeo calling Bajwa then Pakistan.

Seems like all sides wants to back out of current situation. Pakistan would not have sent FM without any indication from respective govts that they want to Deescalate the situation. Historical Pak served as a go to country for US-China. KSA- Iran, US- Iran to resolve issue back door.

Pakistan will play her natural role in mediation.

It has been a principal policy as a responsible state to always put peace and stability above chaos, anarchy and destruction. Mr. Qureshi is a seasoned politician who will work closely with the concerned parties to find a workable roadmap towards normalization and stability in the region.

The region deserves more than just war and destruction. Hopefully the efforts by Pakistan will be appreciated across the region and beyond.

The breaking of protocol by high level US officials, bypassing our civilian Government and directly calling GHQ should be alarming for the Prime Minister. As a voter, I feel insulted when a foreign power shows more trust in the Military than my elected representative.
