Imran demands apology from Pakistan to Bangladesh

Technically, PK can gain opportunities from BD-apology-issue. And can buried that issue forever.

Officially GoP can say:

"We apologize for those innocent Bangladeshis who were killed by us by our mistakes and brutality. And though some of our enemies made the situation worsen, but still that was our responsibility to solve that situation peacefully. So we are sorry for that".

if that statement is released by Army or President, imagine how easily it can pull us out of the past.

as long as we dont realize what we did... later part is to be played by them, we should be of no concern, we should clear our conscience... and hope the Good to be brought by Allah. as it is always from Allah.

i mean, really....

Bangladesh became independent country, guud for them. That's better than an apology; which is un-necessary considering it wasn't one-sided killing. How many times must this issue be brought up?

U apologist.... maybe u can forgive the killings of west Pakistanis... but as a Nation.....PAKISTAN cant.

you should realize you are a lone voice, majority of PAKistanies have achieved self-realization stage in this matter, and they whole heartedly believe in it as well.

Most of Pakistan's population is under the age of 30. We were not even born during the 1971 war. Why should we apologize for something we didn't do. I disagree with Imran Khan here. Our ancestors should have aplogized in the 1970's not 40 years later when most Pakistanis never even set foot in East Pakistan (Bangladesh).

Omar its not about you and me, its not about who did it. we collectively as west pakistanies did it..

No need to apologize by people who had nothing to do with something that took place decades ago. Both sides were at fault, should be a two way road.

In any case, as mentioned by another member above, quite an overkill.

crimes done against humanity were not carried out by a group of people, but by STATE INSTITUTIONs who acknowledges this fact now.

the thing is to move on, the world is shapping into a interdependence world... we must also realize.

I notice here that so called secular and liberals are still of same stubborness which they showed in early decades, and exactly their kind of people led us into that tragedy... luckily majority of PAKistanies donot acknowledge these views, and want to have good brotherly relations with Bangladesh by burring the past.

Hazrat MUHAMMAD SAW forgave Hazrat Khalid Bin Waleed(R.A) who was the reason for lost battle of Ohad ......

we all know what happened to those people....any apology notes drafted for them --and who will do the apologising? Bengalis or the indians who brain-washed them?

That is like demanding an apology from a rape victim because she had bitten her rapist in defense.

actually since we are heavily influenced by wester way of thinking thats why some so call liberal and secular minded people cannot think out of the shall of nationalism created for them... they are the ones who are on their knees in front of America...and are so full of honour and God knows what when it comes to admit that they cannot acknowledge their part of mistake !!

i agree with you ...... as iqbal warned us through his poetry about nationalism GOD ...... he said nationalism is going to be another GOD beside Communism and yes we are more about pakistani than a muslims ..... it is good that one loves his/her country Hazrat MUHAMMAD SAW loved makkah and madina too ....... but we should not forget that we are msuslims .... look at Europe they have immune the visa for their national throughout europe and loot at golf they do not give nationality to anyother person even to any muslim ......... we need to get out of it and we should think as a muslim ummah rather than a suadi,,turkish,iraqi or irani .............
