Just wait.. for the frenchie to arrive... 500... be fast...
think so explain you question
It was both the combination of the lack of space under the wing and the question of the wing structure. Perhaps also the question of the price: I don't know how far was the technology of wingtip-stations developed at the time Jaguar was desidnge.
BTW, Jaguar was not the first plane to be able to carry weapons over its wings: Lightnings F.Mk.53s, sold to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in late '60s could carry both ferry tanks (of course, these couldn't be jettisoned), Matra SNEG 68mm rocket launchers and JL.100 combined rocket launchers/fuel tanks over their wings.
Never noticed by did the French build the Rafael with reduced RCS in mind?
I wonder if it can take 2 scalps + 3 fuel tanks like Rafale. Never seen so far...I feel Eurofighter Typhoon still rules
MKK does not have forward canards. Its MKI during tests in Russia.
Only two tanks seen.....
Only two tanks seen.....
Looks like 2 smaller fuel tanks on the outboard pylons. BTW, the early MiG-21s with the IAF carried similar drop tanks under fuselage.
