What Indian media sings ...
so they are effectively blaming the IMF for not taking a military action against the terrorists?
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif blames the IMF for Pakistan’s inability to fund a military response to the resurgent Islamist militancy in country’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, says the IMF is giving Pakistan a tough time in an ‘unimaginable’ economic crisis.
Now he is blaming IMF for KP terror response failure. what an idiot
He may just be admitting that we are too broke to wage a big battle. A case of guns vs. butter. He is choosing butter this time.

They may be able to cut external budget but still keep internal budget intact or even increase it. Much of the budget is swallowed by salaries, perks, pensions and other Rupee accounts. Fewer imported hardware but increased perks might just do the trick.Defence/Army LCs have been declined by banks. Fin ministry have refused to approve any new LCs for Defence. What other option is there but to cut defence budget? its going to happen even if they don't like it. Same thing happen to Sri Lanka
He is neck deep in implementing the five-year plan for introducing Sharia banking. He honestly has no time for the economy. Besides, he has subcontracted the work to God.,..,,.
If this is the case, why hasn't dar sb. given IMF a befitting response yet?
This bailout ain't coming.....The theft and corruption is being unearthed at a record rate by the IMF.
+ descend from dreamworld to reality. Peeing on one's feet and calling it warm summer showers isn't going to cut it anymore. Self-deception and delusion should be made illegal and punishable offences for policy makers.Tough time = exposing their corruption and bringing a system of accountability & transparency
It has 'defaulted' in a way. All those innocent exporters and importers who are not getting paid and not receiving goods in spite of having PKRs to pay are the victims of default. In a country with functioning government, money in the wallet would be counted properly and importers would have been told ahead of time not to place orders for which payments can't be made. What do you think of yourself going to a store, picking up a TV or phone and on coming to checkout counter, open your wallet and tell the shopkeeper, sorry I don't have enough money?Do you think Pakistan will default this year then?
