At IMDEX Asia 2017, the international maritime defence exhibition currently held in Singapore, local shipyard ST Marine launched its new Vanguard series. The Vanguard series of naval vessels is a series of platforms that deliver multiple modular capabilities with one design.

ST Marine's concept fast tracks project execution and reduces development costs by using a proven & scalable design. It reduces the engineering tail and life-cycle cost by adopting common and proven engineering systems accross multiple ship classes.
Key features of the Vanguard series include a scalable hull form, design & equipment commonalities, use of integrated mast, integrated ship management system and sensemaking, modular payloads with a mission bay.
