  • New satellite photos reveal school belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad still stands
  • The Indian government previously claimed they had hit the site with an airstrike
  • But new photos, taken six days after the attack, show the building undamaged
  • Pakistan claims that the strike in its territory failed to hit or kill any extremists
A religious school thought to have been run by the extremist group Jaish-e-Mohammad in northeastern Pakistan is still standing, according to newly released satellite photos, despite India claiming that its warplanes had ravaged the site on February 26.

The high-resolution photos were taken by Planet Labs Inc, a San Francisco-based satellite operator, and show at least six buildings on the site of the school, known as a madrasa.

The photos were taken on March 4, six days after the airstrike that Indian authorities claimed killed around 300 militants.

They cast further doubt on statements from the Indian government that the raids, early on February 26, had hit all intended targets at the site near Jaba village and the town of Balakot in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Pakistan disputes its neighbour's statement, claiming that nobody was actually killed in the airstrike and no buildings were hit.

Until now, no high-resolution satellite images of the madrasa's site were publicly available.

But the photos from Planet Labs, which show details as small as 72 cm, have revealed the structures the Indian government said it had attacked.

The site appears to be undamaged despite India claiming that its airstrikes had hit all targets on February 26
The image is virtually unchanged from an April 2018 satellite photo of the same facility.

The buildings appear undamaged and there are no signs of scorching, blown-out walls or even displaced trees around the area.

According to Reuters, India's foreign and defence ministries have yet to comment on the satellite images which raise fresh doubts about the attack.

The air strike near Balakot, a town 30 miles (50km) from the frontier, was the deepest cross-border raid launched by India since the last of its three wars with Pakistan in 1971.

India's Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said at the time that 'a very large number' of militants were killed in the strikes in northeast Pakistan.

'The existence of such training facilities, capable of training hundreds of jihadis, could not have functioned without the knowledge of the Pakistani authorities,' Gokhale said. Pakistan denies harbouring JeM.

Pakistani officials dismissed the claims, saying the Indian aircraft had dropped their bombs in a wooded area, causing no damage or casualties.

Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by the Pakistani Air Force after they retaliated to India's attack
Villagers near the town of Balakot were shaken from their sleep by the air strikes.

They said only one person was wounded in the attack and they knew of no fatalities.

In response, Pakistan launched its own raid across the Line of Control which sparked a dogfight that ended in the capture of an Indian pilot.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was later returned to India by Pakistan as a peace gesture.

Where is the mistake ?
Kindly show me .

I have seen Spice testing video.
It also in link .Just clean penetration
4 entry points we can see there .
Rest of Times Now BS we dont care .They are even see ambulance there :D

But look at the entire shape of th building now.Comparing that with 2018 picture .

It was a big building .
As per IAF report 80 % hit in target and 20% missed .

1. 4x 2000lbs PGMs (dumb bombs with SPICE-2000 kits) targeted the structure from a standoff distance.
2. The PGMs penetrated through the roof of the approx 30x30m structure, with a tin (galvanised iron sheet) roof.
3. The bombs detonated inside the structure after penetrating the roof, killing more than 200 people inside it.
4. The blasts of 4x 2000lbs bombs (each with 1000lbs of explosive) left the non-hardened structure intact.
5. 2x PGMs with Fuel-Air Explosives were later dropped outside the structure for a show-of-force.
6. Pakistan Army later cordoned off the area and transported the bodies to unmarked graves.
7. Pakistan Army also dug 4x craters (to simulate PGM error) 200m west of the target, accurately uprooting boulders.
8. In conclusion, this operation represents the finest instance of Pakistan-India joint CT ops, eliminating the bad guys.

In the real world, independent observers from 3 different nations refuted India's claims.

...within that 30 x 30 m structure mind you.

Also you missed one point.

-300 deaths proven by the fact that 300 cell phones from the area went offline!

Still there is a problem.IAF reports ,as per news , saying 80% and 20% miss .
And a common man can see clear abnormalities in the 2019 picture ,this one released by Reuters not any Indian agency or media ,than in 2018 .

India is lucky that building wasn't hit, otherwise death of children in Madrasah would have warranted the response which would have reached to nuclear exchange by now.

BTW, guys please stop creating threads on this missed target topic. You are doing disservice by dancing on tune and helping in building narrative that there was legitimate target but India failed miserably to take it out. If you want to counter this clever campaign than write about how many children study there whom India wanted to kill and big tragedy averted because of inefficiency of IAF

.
The Indians are crying over it on all their channels. I browse through some of them. They think the damage is done. They have shown some picture of 2018 and 2019 to compare the damage. According to their analyst the bomb used the Spice, only create a small hole and then does the damage on the ground. The building wouldn't be damage. :hitwall::hitwall:
Earlier they said they used 1000 kgs bombs. :dance3::dance3:

There are no 'abnormalities'. What you're seeing is the change in angle of the image. Besides, the difference of time in these images is roughly a year...and A LOT changes in a year (roof repairs, vegetation, ''tents''). The 'holes' found by the respected trying-to-justify-his-personal-theories Retd. Col. are most probably tin patches to repair the roof over the course of a year.

I would trust independent & truly neutral forensic satellite imagery experts any day over the claims made by any Air force or any government. I was actually skeptical of DG ISPR's statement of no damage in the beginning, since it was baffling to me if the GOI claimed it 'neutralized a large number of terrorists' without actually doing so. I said this on the day of the strike:
On independent verification of events: Military and civilian satellites from different nations will take images of the said region soon, and independent & neutral third parties will verify what happened at the impact point(s). 2000lbs LGBs are no joke, expect visible damage regardless of the presence of any infrastructure. If a IAF hit something (i.e. a JeM camp), it will be clearly visible. If not, then craters in the hillsides (as shown by DG ISPR) will also be visible. This is a very risky gamble for any party who is lying here.

Hmm.
Almost same angla, same position but everyone can see the irregularity in shapes of building structure .
Video we can see youtube justify it .

. .

Ajay Shukla has some reputation among public circle that he is a warmonger and
PR agent of a weapon company .

Let them do their job .
AFAIK NDTV is known as anti national channel among so called bhakts .

You tube testing video shows that once it penetrate Spice 2000 explodes like most of its force will hit ground and surroundings less .Once it hits it wont necessary bring down the structure especially if roofing is covered by some sheets .And look at the trees position
Whatever it is this kind of change in that hill side will happen eithet if there is an earth quake or ....

.
1000 kg bomb wasnt a dumb bomb ,so that it will wipe out entire hill.
It was smart bomb that was fire and lasing only or fire and forget.

It will not completely damage the structure.

May be they were trolling you.Or they want to know our methodology like how we overcome one of the most radar secured area
Those two pictures clearly showing the devastation .
Trusts your eyes and check
you forgot to mention the virtues of smart bomb, U Silly Pakis IT WAS A SMART BOMB IT MADE HOLE THROUGH THE ROOF JUST TO TAKE A PEEK AND THEN IT WENT DOWN KNOCKED THE DOOR AND AFTER GETTING PERMISSION IT ENTERED THE FACILITY AND KILLED EVERY ONE, AFTER THAT IT WENT IN THE FORREST AND COMMITED SUCIED......... (a fellow member explained it in other thread) :yahoo:

So that was active madrassa ?
But i thought official narrative is that its a abandoned building.
Can you eleaborate ?

I don't knew it's active or not, only someone from area can tell details, but if building is complete than there are chances that students will be present.
