Ijaz ul Haq is son of Zia ul Haq.

He was part of Musharraf’s cabinet too.

Not sure if he will be a mediator with the establishment as his dad passed away in 1988 and the left overs from Zia’s era are all gone.

It's the very nature of pyramid cultures to include new team members on the basis of how much new contact/connections they can bring on table. Ijaz-ul-Haq hopefully will have deep contacts with the Mehakmaa e Zarraat and will strongly advice Imran to not drag situation to the point of no return.. No harm in it. Country needs it !

Ijaz ul Haq, does he not have close ties to the army? If true, we may be seeing a reproachment between some elements within the military and PTI to try and fix the current situation.

This honestly might be good news, I hope. He can serve as a bridge between PTI and the Military establishment. I hope his name still means something to a certain faction of the military.

PTI and IK has to understand that it’s not all black and white. I don’t advocate corruption and to wipe it out in a country like Pakistan requires long term strategy. People still have to earn. Again, I don’t condone corruption, in fact I condemn it, but you can’t just cut off people that are used to it without having a large stick to clobber them over the head if they continue to live corrupt lives. IK severely lacked that as all departments of the state are compromised beyond doubt.
