What's new

If India makes more longrange ICBMs, Beijing may help Pakistan do the same, says Chinese state media

I personally hope we do conduct the tests. Should have been done ages ago
If the ICBM does exist and it is tested, it'll only invite sanctions and Pak will move higher on Israel's list of threats. It's better to conceal ur hand, quietly strengthen urself and keep the element of surprise in hand.

To quote Sun Tzu's art of war
"All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him."

Why would that affect us?
We have quite friendly relations with Myanmar. In fact, Myanmar Army is skeptical of China, the Chinese would be worried if they arm Myanmar with Ballistic Missiles

Really? Why did we sell them JF-17s?

Anyway, you don't realize the power a weapons seller has over the buyer, especially complicated systems such as Ballistic Missiles. We can program them so they self-destruct if ever pointed at China.

Perhaps to increase your arms export and earn money?
Did you think that you sold weaponry to Myanmar because India and Myanmar are hostile to each other?

Or perhaps to help the Myanmar kill even more Rohingyas?

And here I thought your name on this forum implied some semblance of intelligence. How mistaken I was.

China has again proven that its an all weathered ally of Pakistan after Economical assistance now china will provide military assistance to Pakistan , ICBM will surely be a great addition to Pakistans missile inventory .

On Monday, India successfully tested its long-range ballistic missile, Agni-IV, which can travel 4,000 kilometers and carry a nuclear warhead, in the wake of an earlier successful test-firing of Agni-V that has a range of more than 5,000 kilometers. The country's media were elated in their reports, stressing that India's tests of the nuclear-capable ballistic missile "covers entire China." "Agni-V can deter China," said The Times of India.

WHO CARES-JUST GO AHEAD AND DO- more ICBM in Asia -the merrier

And thereby proving that the old players (Russia and US and Europe) are the only ones fit for global leadership. :enjoy:

If india is not following rules then why we are following anyhow

All hail middle kingdom. Great achievement in proliferating nukes and missiles to two bit countries in past 3 decades. Laughable thing is china thinks it can lecture on NSG guidelines to India and expects it to be taken seriously.

I would be very happy if Pakistan test ICBM. Treat pointed to only India at this point in time expands to west . Lets see what happens to Pakistan's already meager exports to west.

From what I have read (about the US and USSR missile programmes) many dozens of tests are necessary to certify and be satisfied with the maturity of a missile. Even after deployment periodic tests are conducted to test readiness and operational problems. In the US a few tests are conducted every time in relation to ICBMs that are already deployed. Neither Russia nor China get into a tizzy because of this.

Assuming systems are similar, India conducts far too few tests for missiles currently in development, let alone operational. Pakistan seems to conduct fewer still. As far as I remember India has never reacted in such an explosive manner to any Pakistan test (or Chinese test). There is an existing arrangement in place whereby the two countries notify each other in advance to prevent misunderstanding and that seems to be working well.

This Chinese reaction is frankly, stupid. With such a big defense budget, technological superiority and probably many dozens of missiles aimed at Indian targets for decades there is not only no reason to fear the Agni programme but foolish if not absurd to think India should stop development simply because they (China) feel so.

At least India has not issued such stupid statements about the Pakistan missile programme.

Well india is right next door , what will we do with ICBM

India isn't the only threat nor the one who threaten to bomb us back to stone age. Let's not be naive. It's time Pakistan address all current and future possible threats.

.
Doesn't affect us. Pakistan can build Ballistic missiles to reach the Moon and it won't matter to us.

What is important for us is that we can target every nation on the face of Earth. Period.

That means, China, we are building missiles that will cover every inch of you whether from land or sea.

Don't worry. We will do everything in our power to keep you in check. Today's test should take away all your doubts.

Exactly. ICBM is the way forward. Fvck the duplicity of the West. Pakistan must do everything in its power to secure its interests. Today's jungle world dictates the production of ICBM. We are not India centric. There is certainly a case to be made that the deteriorating security situation around the world demands a solid ICBM capability. We need to go for it. Be it in secrecy and undeclared.
