What's new

If Afghanistan fails, Pakistan could follow: Biden

Of course Russia and India are involved, but they need the cooperation of right wing afghan nationalists who want to bite off and absorb a piece of Pakistan. And then India bites off most or all of what is left. Pakistan is surrounded by two hostile powers on the east and the west, both of whom want to absorb all or part of pakistan. In fact if tomorrow pakistan was dissolved and split down the middle these two countries would be overjoyed because they know they would get the pieces between them. So of course it is logical to assume that both India and Afghanistan would work together as enemies of Pakistan. I should say some nationalist elements in Afghanistan, not all of them obviously.

This is what Afghanistan used to look like 300 years ago.

Many afghans even today want most of that map back, it's why they never recognized Pakistan in 1947 because they wanted most of those lands given to them! I don't have to remind anyone of what the map of British India looked like, obviously Indian expansionists want some or all of that territory absorbed as well.

Ludlum's new novel?

. . .
It is very true that Pakistan and Afghanistan both are different country. Still a highly volatile country will certainly create major impact on neighbors . We are can not deny that Pakistan and Afghanistan both are Muslim country and Taliban has some impact in Pakistan's internal affairs may be very less.

Pakistan has to be very careful in case Taliban gains strength in near future.

This is a historical map from 300 years ago it is history not fiction. The expansionist aims of Pakhtun nationalists are also fact not fiction.

But to forget the geo political environment to indicate that such a map would come into existence is fiction!

Do you expect the Pakistan awam and the Army caving in to such armed tribal?

I don't think you do justice to either with believing such daydreams!

Afghans used to rule in Delhi too.

Add India to the map!

Why stop at Pakistan.

The whole idea is a dream that is unfulfillable!

.
Just because a dream is unfulfillable dose not mean people don't bel, ieve in it and try to enforce it.

The word “Afghanistan” in the above picture will be replaced by “Pakistan” in the near Future.

Indeed.

If unfulfillable beacause there is no hope in hell to achieve it and they are still trying, it does speaks volumes of the intelligence.

Dear Salman,

It may be wiser for Pakistan to first gain full control of their own tribal areas before dreaming of militarily crossing the Durand line. As they say " Its better to clean the weeds in ones own backyard before trying to do the same in the neighbours one".

Afghanistan's security is guaranteed by the NATO and you would be really foolish to think they will willingly or happily intergrate it with Pakistan.

Regards

Myt friend the source of the problem lies in Afghanistan and one must go after the source. You talked about eliminating the weeds in ones onw backyard but you forget cutting the weed wont do because they will grow back, you need to destroy it from the root and the rest will take care of itself. As far as NATO is concerned they haven't made the situation better, I would say it is worse then before. For example during the Taliban regime their were almost no poppy fields, today Afghanistan's economy depends on poppy fields. Now I am not saying that the Taliban should be installed, what I am saying is that the current strategy is just not working, so we need to try a new strategy.

So where NATO as per you has failed the Pakistan Army will succeed ?

Secure your borders first and then bother about the neighbours.

And by the way my garden does not have any weeds for the last 10 years since I took up gardening but my neighbour's still has.

Regards

I say mine the border, make fence & rain bombs on them 24/7.

It will all stop in a jiffy.

First of all I never said Pakistan Army is going to win or NATO is going to win. All I said was we need a new strategy because the current one is certainly not working and I doubt it will work.
Second as far as the garden is concerned, if I remember correctly that before you took up gardening atleast people lived in peace. Though you have liberated them from extermism they are more insecure now more then ever. And like I said in my pervious post the problem lies in Afghanistan. The weeds might be in my garden but the roots are in yours.
