1. Open up a forum for public feedback and referendum for local, regional and National issues. Form a committee which monitors and processes such feedback while forwarding them to decision making authorities.

2. Financial support made accessible for the elderly living with their children as well as in institutions, just an EOB fund is not enough since not everybody can qualify for it.

3. Steps to ensure that mandatory health related saving accounts are created in banks from salaries of employees.

4. Give option to patients to choose the doctor and the hospital they want to get medical facilities from.

5. Make private schooling affordable to masses by enabling everyone to choose between competing private schools by analyzing income of parents/guardians.

6. Minimize tax threshold on parents with two children or one child. Offer incentives and benefits such as concession in bills, travelling tickets, medical facilities etc.

7. Amend constitution to limit borrowing from IMF and other institutions under criteria of certain thresholds of budget deficit and total debt values.

8. Just like compulsory health saving accounts, create mandatory pension accounts for all earning members of country which can be accessed at 60 years of age (e.g. 5-7% of salary), on lines of social insurance.

9. Make housing cheaper through supply-demand cycle. Supply should be improved by an improved planning system.

Very good suggestions can only be achieved with collective wisdom and not egocentric SOLO flights.

the true understanding of Quran should be made compulsory for all pakistanis. we seriously lack grooming. we can only make progress when we adopt principles of islam in true letter and spirit in every walk of life. our economic system , judiciary, government, laws, education system etc every thing should be according to islam. if we call ourselves muslims then there is NO OTHER WAY we can make progress.
i am sure many people wont like this idea.

Yes Islamic laws and judiciary according to whose understanding? Brelvi, Deobandi? Sunni or Shia? How about keep religion out of state? Haven't Pakistan been damaged enough from giving religious clerics so much power? You're telling Pakistanis to surrender to ''Islamic'' clergy, well you might as go live in caves. I heard Afghanistan did great during Taliban rule no sports, no women allowed outside without their male guardians, no radio, no schools or science. But what do I know, I hear many Pakistanis aspire to make Pakistan exactly like that.

why not follow a successful model then doing experiments and destroy a country like we did in 72 years
what experiments? there has been hot gas released and nothing! if anyone did something that person has been brushed aside. that's why Pakistani qaum will never get out of the quicksand.

There is only thing that needs to be implemented to put Pakistan on the path to progress. Good education, starting from primary all the way to university. It must be compulsory for every child to obtain education up till twelfth grade so he has the skills to join the labor force and meaningfully serve the country. The focus of education should be creating good Muslims who have loyalty to Islam, Muslims, and Pakistan, and are armed with logical, rational thinking, creativity, and a desire for excellence. After twelfth grade, youth should have the option to select vocational training turning them into skilled labor, or proceed to university to join the knowledge based economy. Focus on this and Insha Allah everything else will settle itself.

i can only say salam to your logic and understanding of the religion.

separate religion from state, that's the first step in the journey towards prosperity.
and that's the first step towards hell fire. trust me. you take this step and you will be having tough time in next world.

You could always counter my points.
sorry dear your post was too shallow. i dont have time to explain to you. you missed a very important point in my post which was about " true understanding" of Quran. the misinterpretation of Quran has given us the mullahs and due to their deeds a common muslim who also dont have correct understanding of islam but have studied in english medium schools get repulsed from so called islam of the mullahs meanwhile they get attracted by the western system. so for an ordinary muslim who is not a mullah its like pushing him away from islam from one side and pulling him from the other side towards their own values and system .
remember what MBS said recently about wahabism that it was spread at the request of the west. they funded it. so our enemies paid the mullah for spreading false interpretation of islam to the masses who dont know much about islam and they get trapped easily. they are also paying to the liberals to defame islam by highlighting the actions of mullahs and pulling the slightly educated masses towards the western system. so have you got the big picture. pushing from one side through the mullah and pulling from the other side through the liberal. and another beauty of this equation is that after some time it becomes self sustaining. the brain washed followers of mullah will be like him and the brain washed followers of liberal will be like their teacher and the two parties keep on fighting each other. so the mullah and the liberal are just the tip of the ice berg. they both are being controlled by the west. the only way to break this self sustaining system of devil is to teach the masses the true interpretation of islam and eliminate the differences between them through healthy discussion.

Who is going to decide what is 'true understanding'? You, Islamic state, TTP, Mullah Diesel, PMIK, NS, Zardari, your neighbourhood mullah, Mohammed Bin Salman of KSA, Erdogan etc?

Who?
a common muslim.
anybody who really wants to know the right path and makes an effort Allah almighty has made it compulsory on Himself to guide him to the right path. but the real problem is that we ourselves are sleeping and dont make any effort and we blame the mullah or politicians. they just take advantage of our ignorance .

.
The Problem Pakistan faces is simple we lack a cohesive nationalism because the masses and pseudo intellectuals have ignorant base knowledge of history of the region also there is too much butt kissing to all things foreign be it the Arabs Turks,Iranians and Chinese 2nd faux traditionalism and super Muslim complex we feel the urge to tell other Muslims what lifestyle to live yet we don't follow our words on it
