Ciws is a must have in the current battlefield environment where glide bombs are cheaply produced and used massively and glide bombs have high ranges like 80-100km when dropped from higher altitudes. From close ranges everything is detectable but reaction time of the system becomes important that is where the ciws comes into play. Glide bombs , fixed wing kamikaze drones these are the new threats other than the cruise missiles. If the LD3000 systems are tested against these types of threats then it would be a very valuable asset.
