Yes brother; it was created for the PAF only...........but by China. Pakistan's main contribution was - MONEY. You cannot call it a plane made by you with the help of Chinese brothers like your countryman claimed. But China say claim that they created it with some help/money from Pakistan.

Please don't compare Tejas and JF. JF17 and Tejas are same in specifications; but not in origin.

JF is "Kahin ki Eent, kahi ka Roda, Bhanumathi ne Kunba Joda" whereas Tejas is a self-made plane, which was started from scratch.

Good things take time to happen. Eurofighter program started in 1983; Gripen in 1982, Dassault Rafale in 1982-82, and F22 in 1986. So if the countries with rich past experience can take time in developing new fighter jet, then country like India without such experience will obviuosly take more time.

What has happened to this thread? Will the Indian members be happy if we concede that nothing has changed over the last 10 years? The Pakistani members are actin as if we are about to establish all out dominance over the IAF.
These things are cyclical, as air forces acquire new equipment, it changes the dynamics of scenario. Naturally then, there will be periods where the gap will close and other times that it will expand.
None the less, many members assume the edge the IAF developed over the 90s, due to our lost decade has always been the status quo. Instead the last 10 years are a better example of the future of the IAF-PAF balance for the medium term. The Indians will continue to acquire expensive equipment and we will counter with lower cost alternatives to deny air superiority.
