No one is arguing that MKI is not a potent platform but to simply assume that its invincible and unmatched in the skies is a bit too childish and not to mention disastrous. Pakistan armed forces have changed their strategy from intention based to threat/capability based development. I can not see why the PAF will not try to counter the MKI the best possible way it can. Air war is not a one on one game between two kind of aircrafts but like a game of chess. You need to have all of your assets in the right positions and played right to gain superiority.

@ Rockstar Go through the interview of the Viper pilot of PAF and you'll know all about the encounter between the PAF F-16's and the RAF's Typhoons. It was a dog fight and even the Brits were surprised as to how it happened. Three encounters and each time the Typhoons were locked on by the PAF. While its not confirmed, it is an educated guess that the PAF was flying its old F-16's from the 80's and not the new Block 52's during those encounters.

Look up ALQ-211 AIDEWS. All in the same class. Nothing extra ordinary about the ELTA suite.
Overall the article is essentially a case of "crying wolf". IAF still has numbers and a greater number of 4-4.5 gen aircraft than Pakistan. The issue for the IAF is that their posture is geared towards responding to two simultaneous threats when we know that in all of the past 6 decades, IAF have never had to face up to that eventuality so even with a decline to 32 sqns, IAF are still in a decent situation vis-a-vis PAF.

PAF is essentially catching up, the upgrades are an evolutionary step. All air forces go through periodic upgrades and there is no need to panic on the other side.

F-16 Bl 52+ has ALQ-211(v)4 (AIDEWS) plus ALE-50 towed decoy.

The MLUs will also be getting the AIDEWS suite.

"The ALQ-211 is being integrated into international F-16 fighters for Chile, Poland and Oman. The 211 is also applicable for pod-mounted applications and unmanned aerial vehicles."

That was typhoon even the RAF pilots candidly admitted that the Su-30MKI displayed maneuvering superior to that of the Typhoon during the 2007 indra-dhanush exercise and the IAF did not allow their pilots to use the radar of the MKIs during the exercise so as to protect the highly-classified N011M Bars

All-green.. thou shalt not diss MKItabh bachan...

The whole article is a marketing ploy.. to get the MRCA.. which is intended for a PLA oriented policy.
But since things are moving all nicely with the Chinese.. lets bring up the usual hate-mattress the Pakistani's. and go to your government like Oliver twist..saying "please sir.. may I have some more".

Well said.................!

.
But I do agree that MKI is not invincible but in terms of performance its still the best in south asian skies.

And I have a question which is better F-15 eagle or F-16?just asking I know its off topic
