Saudis were good to Pakistan as long as Pakistan followed 'their interests'. Now the immediate signs of refusing to be their paid army in Yemen are starting to show off.

These deployments or visits or exercises mean nothing geopolitically. Unlike Pakistan, we do not expect any country to help us fight a war, either militarily or financially. Neither Saudi nor Iran is expected to help us in any conflict, and nor is India expected to take sides in the conflicts in the middle east.

Pakistan army or air force hobnobbing with other countries is a different thing - they expect (rightly or wrongly) that those countries would join Pak in a war against India. Heck, some of them are ecstatic about the prospect of leasing their ports to China, so that PLAN can fight the navy that they do not dare to face. I've seen statements on this forum from Pakistanis about how Saudi's Eurofighters will aid them in future, how PLAN will launch furious attacks from Gwadar port, and so on.

That's not the case with India. Our forces exercise with other countries with no expectations, other than sharing and learning tactics. As the article states, the IAF contingent is returning from a deployment in Britain - was there any concern about Britain fighting with India? No, and it applies to any foreign country. In short, India mingling with other countries should concern nobody. But Pakistan...

The contingent consisting of 110 IAF officers and airmen onboard Sukhoi 30MKI fighter aircraft, C-17 Globe Masters, C-130 Super Hercules and IL-78 aircraft while en route to United Kingdom for a multinational exercise landed at King Fahd airbase in Taif.

The inaugural staging visit that the IAF pilots called very interactive and fruitful. They will be leaving for Athens prior to the UK for the multinational exercise.

Earlier, RAF Coningsby welcomed the international visitors from the IAF, who had traveled to the UK to support Exercise Indradhanush IV, with a C130, C17 and 4 IAF SU30MKI aircraft till the end of July.

Poorly written article as the Indian contingent was returning from UK rather than heading that way.
In any case, what's all the fuss about, the IAF staging a visit is no more significant than say IN ship on a goodwill visit to KSA a few months earlier.

Was that a "full pair"? Seemed be like "half a pair", since that 'cop-out 'was explained away as not getting into that morass; but being ready to defend the territorial integrity of the KSA....

But the Houthis are hardly even threatening KSA's territorial integrity, but are actually challenging KSA's moral legitimacy to strong-arm people in the neighborhood. And the Saudis are only looking to rent "cannon-fodder' to ensure the means to do so. Since their own folks are just too 'peace-loving' (or too damn lazy) to put their own lives on the line for the purpose.

Ok mr. Big mouth, how about you hosting them in our backyards, you are no different to them, frankly speaking we recognised your true face few decades back and now in the process of doing the same with them, indirectly it's good for PAF as quite a few numbers of PAF personnel so serve in SRAF.
