Can anyone tell me which aircraft currantly use AESA radar in our region excepts US aircraft or (Super Sukhoi around 2014)will be first to use AESA ?
Yep, another move that confirms that China, not Pakistan is india's main focus of attention
Actually, you are wrong. Each MKI has 10 BVR's, each of which contains 10 warheads that it can deploy. Each missile has enough fuel that it can chase a space shuttle to the moon. So 1 MKI with full load, 10 milles = 100 PAF jets. Damn, you guys over spent the money. All you needed was 4 MKI total with 40 BVR's (and 4 MKI and 40 BVR's as spares)....PAF would be done with those . I have a feeling that the 4 spare MKI's and the 40 bvr's will never be put to use as no PAF plane would be left. The ones that might escape will default to India. India will have air supremacy with 4 MKI's over entire Pakistan.
Similarly, 10 MKI's with 100 missiles will take care of the Chinese. India will always live long and the rest of the world is doomed and bowing in front of the Indian might!!! New world order after 3013.
why we are placing dem close to border? In the mean time, closest bases will be attacked and there we have possibility of aircrafts getting destroyed inside hangars or even before take off :/
hard to tell
however, extent of modernization of both AFs, number of AWACs deployed, number of fighters used will determine the outcome
as of now IAF enjoys significant superiority in this case because it has heavy, jet AWACs and MKI can work as mini awacs too
plus MKI can carry up to 10 missiles, while F 16 can carry up to 6 missiles
To give them greater range inside Pakistan. But you are right. In case of a war, airfields nearest to the borders will be targeted first. More(sufficient) AA batteries and mobile SAMs need to be placed in that area if those are already not there. A combination of early warning system, MKIs, sufficient AA batteries and mobile SAMs should be able to defend the base against the attacks.
Of course fighters wont be the only ones to be placed in the frontlines. There will be multiple layers of defence, and the fighters are just one of those components. AWACS, Long range tracking radars, radars on those bases (whatever they are called), AA guns and SAMs will all constitute border defence, and the defence of Indian air space. To assume that only Aircraft will be placed on those front lines is silly.
I didn't say they aren't already there. I emphasized the fact that this airbase will be among the first ones to be targeted. Hence it's defense capabilities should be upgraded accordingly.
So what happen to Pakistani AWACS which can see 300-400 Km and can easily spot MKI at such long distances? Be practical in your thinking.
Stretching it a bit IMHO!And what good will detection do PAF, if all it's fighters are engaged??And MKI is not the only plane we have anyways........Many are far stealthier with comparable radars, especially the MiG 29 SMT which were recentely upgraded and are said to be equal to or better than MKI's by a UAC spokesman....
In our immediate neighborhood, there aren't any AESA capable fighters right now, but will be soon-Can anyone tell me which aircraft currantly use AESA radar in our region excepts US aircraft or (Super Sukhoi around 2014)will be first to use AESA ?
