I WONT SAY BHARAT MATA KI JAY A MUSLIM GIRL’S MESSAGE TO HINDU NATIONALISTS

If this pathetic girl doesn't want to chant this words, no problem. But don't bring your views in public, otherwise be ready to face the other side of the people as well. If you have right to enjoy freedom of speech then others too have it. Such statements from muslims should stop because it provokes the Hindu extremists to take action against it and the cycle goes on and on.

Lol You are threatening her what hell you are writing read carefully

don't bring your views in public !!!! (why you stop her for right of self self expression ???)
otherwise be ready to face the other side of the people as well ( are you represent the Hindu extremists )
If you have right to enjoy freedom of speech then others too have it. ( than what is your problem !!!)

( if she is leaving in a secular state than why you are stop her for express realities publicly ???)

if you are talking about the general urban scene then yeah, the middle-class distant-from-societal-problems female wannabes and the disco mullah ( or pandit, like sri sri ravishankar )... ek se badke ek.
middle class ko choro----come to the topic ---in case you go then i go--will desert this forum--bhard m jay:mad:

Yaar you sound like one if you cannot tolerate a Muslim saying Jai Hind instead of Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Please don't take too much offence from my words. I wish nothing but the best for you. :)

God Bless.

You forgot what i said in my very first response, Mama ji.

Its her choice whether she wants to say Jai Hind or Bharat mata ki jai.

Why would i feel mad for someone's choice of acceptance or rejcetion.

I just said dont give that rejection a religious reason. Keep it personal. Because your isolation will result in another isolation as a reciprocation from ppl of other faith.

Which on a broader view is not good for the country as a whole :)

this happens when we force people to do something to prove their loyalty or patriotism..It will be difficult for Madrasa educated people in India to accept something like Vande Mataram or Bharat Mata ki Jai..if they had been taught the literal meaning of them and contradiction with teaching of islam......but people who have studied in govmt schools or in christian schools, these things are not new to them.they are pretty comfortable singing Vande Mataram or Bhartat Mata ki Jai! !

No one is threatening her, but suggesting her not to oppose such extremist material publicly otherwise he/she should be ready for the reply. Plus everybody wants to enjoy their freedoms and rights but hardly anybody is ready to perform their duties. It's a generational problem with us.

And it has nothing to do with whether I represent Hindu extremist or not because everyone has right to oppose or reply to anything they want to, by everyone I mean everyone.

Im not Hindu but I think it is time for india to declare itself as a HINDU country with freedom for all religions to live, practice, free of any discrimination.

I WONT SAY BHARAT MATA KI JAY A MUSLIM GIRL’S MESSAGE TO HINDU NATIONALISTS March 15, 2016 Amina Baig My name is Amina Baig a second year BBA student and I will not say Bharat mata ki jay or Vande mataram, it is totally my choice and I wish not to utter those words. No where in the constitution it is written that you have to say Bharat mata ki jay or sing vande mataram to be Indian. It is just the Hindutva version of India which they want to force down our throats and if anyone dares to defy it then you are a so called anti-nationalist. It has become a yardstick to prove your patriotism especially if you are a Muslim. Moreover India is no Hindu country, in fact there is no Hindu country in the universe to the grief of Hindu nationalists even Nepal is no longer a Hindu country. So if India is not a Hindu country then why a Hindu representation of Mother India i.e; Bharat Mata a fictional goddess who isn’t even there in any Hindu scripture. So if India is not a Hindu country then all the more reason not to say Bharat mata ki jay which is a hindutva representation of India. The hindu symbol of India that is bharat mata should be abolished in this country and songs like vande mataram are no longer needed in free India, in fact they are often used as a tool to target the Muslim minority. From one of the previous article that I came across on this site and all words below fit very well here and I quote “Why is India a mother, why is Bharat a Mata ? This imagery of the nation entrap women into pinjras where we are reduced to biological reproducers of its members (sons) limited to mothers, wives, sisters in need of protection and idolized into figures whose bravery is realized through self-sacrifice and judged trough the prism of their rules and morals. An autonomous woman is one who thinks, who questions, who resists. Such women defy the masculine and patriarchal script of nationalism produced by upper-caste hindu men that has been premised on silencing of women’s voices and entrapping them in a swirl of pinjras of domesticity and alienation.” I support JNU and Umar Khalid call me anti-national – Indian Feminist

Nowadays any Tom, Dick and Harry getting publicity for dishing out controversial statements. She may not say what she doesn't want to say, but since when the term 'Bharatmata' became a Hindu goddess? Has she ever heard the term 'Mother Russia'??

And "Vandemataram" is the most deserving song to be the national anthem of India, it was made the national song to accomodate Muslim sensitivities, and it is staying there as India's national song, if not upgraded to national anthem status. Don't try to mess with this song, it was the war cry of our freedom fighters.

The lady can sing 'Sare jahan se accha', it was written by a Muslim who became Pakistani later, or she may not sing anything, but then one should not complain about lack of integration with the society, etc.

Muslim man from Chennai forced to sing Vande Maataram, Maa Tujhe Salaam/Thai Manne Vanakkam against his Islamic beliefs :P

Maybe he was forced to sing this by those evil Sanghis.

This whole episode is nuisance but has big potential to harm in the long term.

She can say or don't say what she wants to until she is a good citizen of India and working towards nation building. Nothing else matters.
Nobody asked her to chant anything. She is immature that's why she is poking her nose in political gutter.

Here is your idolatry. Muslim males almost beat up female for a person.

1. i am not supporting the attack but that female is a confused person and not a unbiased leftist/progressive... i haven't read her book ( lajja ) but from her later actions i haven't seen her being critical of manuvaad or the current atrocious situation in india, which is why she is such a darling of the sangh... the sangh assassinates the leftists ( true feminists/humanists ) but celebrates taslima nasrin.

2. that person ( the man ) you are referring to, was the first feminist in history.

3. i think you know what idolatry means but are trying to induce confusion in the reader. :)

Ya right :-)

No justification for extremism.

Lets leave it to her choice.

The only issue i have with ppl of this mentality is That they always talk about fundamental rights but never about fundamental duties.

 shouting so-called National slogans is not fundamental duty anywhere in the world. I don't know how Indian Hindu extremists find shouting such slogans as fundamental duty

Dear brother it is not a new topic I had gone through the debate and the fact is that chanting national slogans or for that matter chanting religious slogans is not at all a fundamental duty. suspending elected representatives or calling anyone traitor, alien etc etc just because he or she refused to chant these or refused to celebrate religious events of the majority is not at all justified.
