I will contest elections from Chitral: Musharraf

Forget it. An army general will never go to jail in Pakistan. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN. Army is above law. Thats the reason Musharraf is sitting outside. If law is allowed to take its course, Musharraf would have been in jail.

Those who wonder Pakistan is backward and weak, they need look no further than the selective application of justice. Admiral Mansoor ul-Haq was involved in corruption. he was let off for paying back just 25% of the looted money. Mr Zaradari did corruption too. He is still hounded.

I m not in favor of any corruption but the rules are different. The reason is that the authority belongs to the civilians. If you have civilian leaders who are weak as they have skeletons in the cupboard and want to get back into power by making compromises, its the army or some other powerful interest, that fills that vacuum.

If you have strong civilian leaders and institutions, army power will recede and will be put in place where it belongs.

The last & final civilian leader was Mr bhutto & wht he did thn breaking pakistan?
After him we had BB,BABA & zardari non of them had the ability to run pakistan in to a modren age ?
All the progress was only made durring the times when there was a dictator rulling pakistan?
Till democrazy can't get its roots inside a political party itself & education level of the nation couldn't be pushed to 50% till tht time all the talk of hving a democrazy & strong civilian leadership is just a joke!

It had happened before , Mir Murtaza bhutto did tht, even he was a wanted person!
Well anyway musharaf still hve a major support within army & peoples of pakistan , I think he is still more popular then of Zardari & Nawaz ?
He has more experince thn of imran!

He is even popular overseas. Zardari & Nawaz don't even come close to Musharraf's calibre. I want him to rule Pakistan once again, only he can take Pakistan to the better future. My vote is for him.

Can someone please explain to me that what does contesting elections from Chitral mean?

hounrable sir!
with due respect, with this stupid democrazy in place, i think even a angel cant make pakistan move ahead, with 80% of fudal class sitting in the NA, musharaf will never be a sucsessfull leader!
thts why i like him & supported him in difficult times, but i never support him for the democrazy in pakistan, pakistani democrazy is the main cancer which is bringing more pain ?

IK,s drone protest in US has hit the rockbottom already as romney & obama already had backed for more drones strikes in the afghan-pakistan bodring area, IK already has turrned his back on tht issue ,& silently accepted his unexperinced approch generated by some so-called anti-war segment in EU!
While Musharaf,s stratgy of specific drone targeting of terrorists is getting more support all over the world after malala incident!
Trying musharaf for anything will be seen a trail of every armed forces officer who ever acted under his command & to the courts who also did validated his rule & it goes to all the politicians who got him elected ????
So this all is jst a smoke scren bt threat to his life is more serious , & its a fact?

Romney and Obama have got nothing to do with IK's drone position. In fact, he will get better support if he appears to confront USA. PTI is just maintaining a low profile after Malala incident sh!tstorm. IK was trashed by the 'liberal' media into silence despite the loud PR machinery that he carries. Also another point to remember, even the so called liberals are against drones, although on a different principle of Pak's sovereignty. They are p!ssed off with IK only on the issue of Taliban appeasement.

And by the way, Musharraf no longer supports US drone strikes in Pakistan. If he is brought to court on this, he can simply say he had no choice and that he acted in the interest of Pakistan.

Musharraf will also most likely not be tried on constitutional grounds. I can't see how his trial will be legally prevented if someone from public petitions against him, but they will find a way like the Swiss letter compromise. The bada politicians will not touch Musharraf openly and will honor the gentlemen's agreement out of respect for SA et al.

And if you are saying Musharraf's life is in danger, which politician's(especially liberal) life is safe in Pakistan? Notwithstanding the enemies Mushy earned with Lal Masjid, he is still safer than the likes of Zardari, because his alma-mater will have her hand over him, not as a support, but because his killing will be embarassing to the institution.
