From Pakistan it has to be Dawn, a lot of grey areas for the rest.

From India it has to be The Hindu, way too many yellow areas in the rest of them.

You have to read all of them and discern on your own what is bias and what is true journalism.

JF-17, where I respect your enthusiasm and involvement in the PDF, there like others I am also advising you to be polite in the talks you make around. Seniors are respected, even in PDF. If you didn't learn this simple thing as a pro-learner, you might end up being a person who's presence and absence means the same.

Understand that when you disagree, you disagree with the opinion not the person. Zaki and TruthSeeker are both very senior members. If they are guiding you, feel the leverage and prove yourself better with every post. You might disagree with what they say but you don't need to be abusive at all. Learn to disagree with grace.. this talent will not only help you become popular member here but also a successful person in life otherwise.

Read Tallat Hussain. He is also director of News at Aaj.tv. That channel is not huge in terms of resources and popularity but if you need to know an honest News Resource + an unbiased opinion, watch that.

Sama is also good but in haste of attaining popularity, it is rusting its credibility.

Dawn is my favorite. Probably the best in the business.

Dawn Channels and Express 24/7 are probably the best Pakistani channels.

As far as Indian news is concerned i have no idea, but stay away from Aaj Tak, NDTV, The Hindu, etc

Dawn like many people suggested, also Dailytimes, I consider DT a little better, more professional and mature, too however, their updates aren't to the minute, you gotta wait a day. A little bit of problem with Dawn is they act somewhat childish at times, take their op-ed for instance and Mr. Paracha who goes to an extreme sometimes to put down certain fundamentalists. And the time and energy he spends at writing his satirical articles, he sure use it toward something more productive.

TV channels wise, Geo, ARY and Dawn, are all good at covering the latest news. Current affair programing is somewhat of hit and miss with these channels, but each one has at least one really good current affair program. Even PTV actually lately has been good with those and news.

Indian media outlets, I haven't followed in years. Most of them, if not all, are really bad and biased toward Pakistan. So, pick your poison.

Dont ever go with TIMES NOW and CNN IBN they give a very biased account of everything. Not the kind of journalism i like they just raise flutters over nothing.

TIMES NOW very anti China and CNN IBN has a very pro American view point.

Well, I wasn't trying to get JK-17 banned. I copied his private message onto the thread because I thought he should not send me something in a private message that he wasn't willing to say in "public". Perhaps he will come back and be more civil. I think that the give and take on this forum is beneficial to all. Certainly, I have learned to hear very negative comments about the USA and to try to appreciate the anger that is behind them. That does not mean that I think that most of it is justified, but I do, now and truly, understand the passion and frustration being expressed. Perhaps JK-17, if/when he returns can learn to hear well-meaning criticism as well without lashing out as he did.

TheHindu is one of the most biased newspaper i have ever seen. I keep reading articles posted on different forums copied from this source. Star News i always thought is the most biased indian channel but after the introduction of Aaj Tak and TheHindu newspaper that award had to be given to these respective channels/e-newspapers
