option 1. the simplest way to get a screen-shot... darken the room, pause the video at the required moment... and take a photo from a camera, taking angle and distance into consideration... do this twice or thrice as practice... do the real thing for all needed screen-shots... transfer the photos to computer... use ms-paint or powerpoint ( best ) to cut out the edges... voila...

option 2. install and run the "file" program ( i gave link earlier ) with your video's path ( or name ) as input... the "file" program runs only in command prompt ( run box >> "cmd" )... find out the type of the video file... use a good video converter to convert said video to high quality video ( like wmv or mp4 )... run converted video in vlc... take screen-shots... voila...

jamahir I tried downloading it but it says..unable to execute the file because its in a temporary directory.

that software on which the training videos run is blobking anything which captures the screen.
But the other issue with staad software is over.But not with the training videos.

you can go into the installation folder find and take videos out yourself then play those in any media player that grabs screens like GOM player- -

By taking out videos do you mean copying it??
I have been warned not to copy the files to another folder or another system as the software is very sensitive and then I might be denied access to it.I have already taken their online support 5 times.I cant mess up this time.

doing it offline in safe mode will bypass their security checks- you need to be little tech savvy to do that safely-

anyways-

use CamStudio- it just grab the screens- with little bit tweaking of compression and frame rate it can give you a very good quality video capture-

btw if you are at the liberty to tell what the software and tutorial is about - i am sure i can find the videos somewhere on www-

i should have thought of this other solution before... download the below hexadecimal file content viewer and install... open your video in this new program... take a screen-shot of the zero byte-position in the video file and post screen-shot here... let's see what to do next... this new programs works in windows 7... hurry... ask if you don't understand any of this...

I bought them from a company.But I am having a tough time running their videos...hell their software detects the minutest change and then deactivates it on my system.

Its not gonna be easy because this software disables anything that captures the screen while the training videos are on.I 've tried snipping tool,re recording the video but every time the screen goes blank.
