I HAVE A QUESTION: Can China attract world-class talent?

The west attracts more intellectual talent because of its propaganda machine , its promotes and glorifies scientific theories and gives voice to intellectuals , compare this to ours .

Its not very hard to notice what needs to change.

And that is why USA will continue to rule.They take away the best minds from all over the world regardless of ethnic considerations,something other nations aren't really able to match on scale.Huge numbers of chinese,indian,korean guys - they study here but then USA poaches them away for their own progress,so its a waste for the home countries .This is one of USA's greatest strengths,they can take talented people from worldwide others except some european ones have to rely on solely national talent.Visa ban by trump if implemented will be a boon for developing countries to stop the brain drain.

Multi races will eventually ruin America in the long run. America can enjoy short term science prosperity but it won't last long with the society disintegration.

So America: fast but can not last long. China: slow but steady up. Sounds familiar to you Indians. Right?

Wrong,a few thousand high level scientists and researchers will never change demographics ,it is unrestricted immigration of low skill low education migrants from mexico/africa/carribean that can do cultural damage.

Too premature to assume US will continue to rule considering you just provided a counter argument yourself. But if are convinced taking in foreigners will make a country great just like the US, why not India copycat this policy?

Because we are not rich enough to provide the financial or infrastructure support to follow same policy.Hell.,we cant even keep our own people.Its a big problem.

Look at those foreigners in HK. None of them are making any scientific achievement. If China allow green cards, China loses. Might as well become another US colony and allow a US base in Hainan.

China has its plates full. It has been producing massive numbers of scientists from all fields as well as receiving overseas compatriots.

So, China has a very strategic, functioning brain when it decides who to take in, how much to take in, and why to take in.

I think the latter is mostly the case in the US.

The former, I would agree and China has been receiving lots of talent. In fact, I read a study, in East Asia, China has become the largest magnet for foreign talent (again, mostly from Confucian areas).

Maybe the reason of China to make it difficult is also the same as you, Indian. They have too many people, and They are overcrowded.

China does not have to worry about attracting talents from abroad due to the huge population. India is a different story because those good enough all flee to USA for better life style, job prospects when given the opportunity. Just look at China right now and compare it with India. Brain drain is a huge issue there not for China.
India can open the flood gates but the only ones flooding in are 100.000 refugees according to some Hindu.
We don't have to replicate USA's open door policy and judging from what China has accomplished it looks very promising.
