Don't be too hasty in your judgements, brother. .The inevitable was merely postponed in 1947.The two principal Muslim supremacists - Maulana Azad & the Dar ul Uloom ( for whom I have the highest regard) rightly argued that the past century in Indian History leading upto the partition saw an exponential rise in Muslim population not only in the mulim majority areas of undivided India - namely west & east Pakistan but also in the United Provinces , CP & Berar , besides other parts of India & that partition would undo all this.

They were prophetic in their judgement .There was indeed a huge drop in the muslim percentage of the entire population , For while , in the first decade of independence . the census showed the Muslim population as anywhere between 5-7% .within 6 decades its officially 15 % & rising rapidly .unofficial estimates put them as high as 20% .

How does that compare with Pakistan & Bangladesh as far as the minorities go? The answer is obvious .

My personal opinion is that these are battles that keep getting won & lost by either side , but the outcome of the war is certain .India will definitely be a Muslim majority country if not by the turn of this century than the next .

Think of it .Miliions & millions of wretched of UP & Bihari neo muslim converts tilling the rich fields of the true Punjab ( yes , It's Pakistani Punjab) at meagre wages .Add to that the bangladeshis too all partaking of the glorious benefits of the CEPA between Pakistan & China .
The economic outlook is brilliant .Think of it , undivided India is bathed with a green glow .All India is now one.Finally .Your grandparents could also revisit their ancestral home without any fear.

Undivided India would be a full blown civil war lol. Partition was destined to happen. Do you have any idea how many riots there would be? Or suicide bombings? South Asia would be hell.

What ? Why should there be riots if all India accepts Islam and re unites ? I speak of a glorious dawn in the collective history of our 10k+ glorious civilization & you come out with minor quibbles .

Religion is one major difference between Pakistanis and indians but there are also vast racial and cultural differences between Pakistanis and indians that cannot be bridged or overcome. There would be a massive nuclear war before Pakistan could become a part of india.

I just agree with the last statement that Islam has to adapt to the new reality. Even Hinduism has changed because of great reformers in the past. What was practiced in the past like child marriages, Sati etc are either banned or shunned from the modern world.

So these practices of sati and child marriage were part of Hinduism? If they were part of it then leaving them is like leaving Hinduism and if they were not part of Hinduism then religion dont need to blame. Religion or religious scripture is not our personal notebook where we can make any change we like to make it suitable with keep changing morals and ethics of modern world..even today almost half of Indian girls marry before they turn 18 in India
