What's new

I am a burger – and proud of it

i wonder what people from Peshawar are. Things are quiiiite different here than compared to those areas of Karachi.

you guys are a bit more '''Slackistani''

lol

we can invent it today if v know the pusto for bun - kebab

Thoough Off-Topic, but i would like to set the record straight. Believe me friend.. DAWN News switch to Urdu transmission was a purely commercial decision, since they were losing a LOT of money. Not much of pure english audience in Pakistan.

guner would you know how much of our lot are pure angrez ?

The term "burger" actually originated in karachi when the fast food joint "Mr Burger" was introduced. The term started in Lahore and surrounding area's was "mommy daddy".

Though offtopic
But i really feel sad for the Dawn news cancelling English transmission . They were doing an awesome job and i loved the show newsweekly by Sami Sha..Great entertainer

:) i remember i did a write up on such people
(Boys) in Peshawar and i felt like terming them Tommies. So basically they are also burgers but here we use the term Tommy for such boys and they can be found in University, Hayatabad mostly. Most of them living in Hayatabad from newly ****** rich families are infected with this culture.

In their teens you can hear them saying loudly "oh Shaakssss"

Just two weeks back one such group of four guys sitting next to my seat in Daewoo going to pindi were saying the same word almost after every 15 minutes lolzz and i never understood if they really believe "Oh Shaakss" make them goras

yes they say tommy quite well . I remember my days of Matric in Fazaia Degree and i use to call one my classmates that. Whenever he stepped into the class i use to say " Yaro Tommy aa gai " and everybody including the girls use to enjoy that. I always looked upon him as an opportunity(;)) and once he got successful in convincing the teacher to kick me out of the class.!

But if you go in to Balochistan side specially in quetta they use the word "ZOYA" quite oftenly..

Haha, the paindu resurgence is on these days, no doubt. Even if you're from Lahore, Karachi folks tend to think you're paindu.

Technically paindu = A person living in a pind (village).

yes they do and they always like to induldge in Karachi Vs Lahore Debate and some ppl endup saying oi Paind.o

asi te shehri Paind0 aan

but what about BBCD = british Born Confused Desi

I have seen a lot of them here in Manchester.. specially the mirpuris

Once i asked one such BBCD to help me find a halal restaurant here, and he was like "Bro go straight from here, cross the signal and then take sajja! (right in punjabi)

WTF!!
