I love these terms. I have seen many such "species" in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. It so good to tease them.

@ Abu Zolfiqar, Peshawar will always be know for ander sher and Kisakhawani. My last visit to peshawar was very interesting, we had to train some of your future rescue service personell.

We also did some work to revamp the old Civil Defence station on GT road, near the old bus station. Inshallah if all goes well professional Rescue services will be running in Peshawar by the years end.

It was sad to see what they have done with the Cantt, also it is a crying shame that some of the antique dealers have gone out of business or underground. I remember buying a flintlock musket from one guy a year back, it's still on my mantel at home.

no you cant b a burger one must be born and bred in karachi + a defence (residential area) resident to turn into one.

Noe, This is incorrect.. Actually the taste differs for those living in Defence and other parts of Karachi..!

Interesting thread indeed.

In Multan, we would call them MummyDady JimmyTimmy Bucchay.

Oh, yes! a burger is used to plurize the words like Dadz, mumz, friendz, booksez and lot more.

But the hype has calmed down to a great degree now, infact you can see a reverse towards accepting and embracing the nation's own culture. This is evident in the switch of Dawn (English News) to a blend of (Urdu & English, with Urdu news broadcast).

Thoough Off-Topic, but i would like to set the record straight. Believe me friend.. DAWN News switch to Urdu transmission was a purely commercial decision, since they were losing a LOT of money. Not much of pure english audience in Pakistan.

Burger schmurger! I don't know what I am as I've got all the burger and non burger khasoosiat in me. I gel in with any crowd. Androon ho ya DHA most Lahoris blend in anywhere. And the majority pure khalis burger kids in Lhr are either from Isloo or Khi. Bari phurkais charhti hay unko.

@ H2O3C4Nitrogen;
Get up, attitude, socio-economic class. Not related to a particular residential area though. Not, at least in Multan, a particular area belongs to them.

I don't remember, but, perhaps, Atta ul Haq Qasmi once qouted that the socio-economic class who got rich through bogus property claims after our independence, is called the "bergur class."

jimmy timmy?? lol (from ankahi??)

in karachi mummy daddy is also used!!
