yes, they were living under nizam, so? why would nizam form a razakar force who cant be controlled and started to attack hindus of their own kingdom?
of course , what the indian army did was totally unacceptable.
Again... It was not IA but the native Hindus who majorly killed the razakars and its sympathisers. IA was mandated to disarm the razakars and they did just that. What followed next was the blowback of the years of oppression of crores of Hindus by a few thousand razakars.
and believe me it was well justified. No one can understand the plight of the Hindus living under razakars. Hindustan got liberated in August 1947. The Hindus were hopeful that they will also be able to breathe freely and their days of agony was going to be over. Boy.. were they wrong. Razakars started killing them, raping them and shaming them with alarming enthusiasm. Villages were raided almost daily and you can only imagine what followed. The heinous crimes committed against them after Aug 1947 had no parallel in India till Op. Searchlight happened in 1971 in neighbouring country. My own grand uncle was in the region those days and he had some stories to tell.
So lets not pretend to judge the reaction of vast majority who had seen every crime committed against them by a few thousand nutheads who were under the illusion that they had the birthright to rule and oppress crores of "Kaafirs".
