Hunt For 6th Generation Fighter Begins Today

most of the US defence projects make no sense anyway, these guys are stuck in the twilight zone chasing ghosts. They are always imagining new threats and the irony is they failed to see the only true threat against them in 60 odd years.

talk about misplaced efforts.

. . .
The F-22 has been operational in service for more than 6 years now...

and the YF-22 maiden flight was 20+ years ago and the tech its late 1980's tech...USA will never stand still.....:usflag: that's why they are the world's only SuperPower....:azn:

.
debating on an article that someone assume will b possible by 2030,at a time when even F-35 is in development, not worthy

by 2030 FGFA is India's answer to the F-22, how long will it take for you to catch up with this 6th gen this time?

.
LOL by the time US has 6th gen fighters China would already have 500 JXXs and 2,000 improved J-10s.

.
Bring some of those 6th gens home guys...In the mean time,I should inform you that the mango tree in my backyard bore its first fruit this summer.
I think I have mentioned before that I planted it the year I first heard about those 126 jets deal.......:frown::frown:

this is how sub-continent works

this is how sub-continent works

and life goes on here still perfectly fine.Thats the ironical part.
We should decrease military budget and unncessary spending, instead of running towards it.The wealth and its capability is almost entirely lost there. We have this MMRCA deal in hand,LCA is going strong,I hear about development of MRCA after LCA,FGFA deal is there as well, and now thoughts for 6th gen has already started popping up.

Bloody hell, very soon somebody will start comparing the militarization with that of Germany under Nazi party......We should give this militarization a break and plant some more mango trees....

.
to the likes of you of course not..:blah:

Oh really ???? my post was meant as a footnote on general US defence mindset,

I did not expect it to be picked up by a clear cut US fanboy like you as it is clearly evident by your posts.

So let me begin.

Do you know of ANY conflict the US was involved in the last 40 years that demands the deployment of high tech weapons ?

lets see ............ shall we fanboy ?

Vietnam
Nicaragua
Granada
Panama
Lebanon
Libya
Iraq
Serbia
Iraq (again)
Afganistan
a bit of Somalia

oh you are right... I am sorry ... clearly all these countries were superiorly equipped with state of the art planes tanks ships and I have reliable information that two of them also had a death star !!!!
images

it clear that the US would NEVER be able to subdue these super powers without the enormous amounts of money spent on F15s, nuclear carriers, satelite networks, star wars program, the stealth planes, los angeles class submarines and laser weapons.
Oh my god.. hold on a minute..

i forgot.. they haven't actually won two of these wars, Vietnam they lost and Afganistan is still going on .. oh my God, I don't get it, how come the F22's haven't defeated the taliban yet ??? Do the taliban have stealth planes of their own or perhaps X-wing's
besides clearly you need an stealth plane to find and hit this :

Afghanistan1.jpg

As it is painfully clear that the US hadn't invested so many billions in the F35 and the F22 all those thousands of US pilots being killed would carry on dying against some of the best airforces in the world, please see, panama, afganistan, iraq, somalia. etc ...

I mean clearly F16s and F15s are no match for these capable forces.

Or perhaps you would like to tell me that China and Russia are the real enemies.

Rightttttttttttttttt

I am convinced on that.. .sure... why not.. i mean if the news say it.. it must be true...

And then you got this paradox, where chinese and russian tech is presented as inferior and years behind even previous US tech, HOWEVER , more money is needed to maintain superiority.. ok

so if china won't make it to an F22 equivalent by 2030, why did the US taxpayer have to pay for the F22 and the F35 NOW ??

And if russian tech is unreliable and loosely made and inferior... again why must we have 12 nuclear carriers, F35s, ABLs, litoral combat ships and stealth bombers ? I thought the enemy has crap equipment.. if the S300 can be beaten by SIGINT.. as we have been told in another thread, why do we need B2's , the s300 aren't gonna hit anything anyway ... right ?

I am not sure if I need to laugh or be depressed by the level of fanboyism in this place..

When the U-2 was being inducted.. its replacement was already on the drawing board.. this is how the US military works. They plan ahead.. way way ahead.

That means us will have their 6th generation fighter when the other country like russia china will inducting their 5th generation fighter .its clear that no country will have parity in technological field with us in near future. :thinktank:

Here is where your lack of military experience AND careful study of military history is obvious...At least to me, anyway.

We heard enough of the derisive phrase 'a solution in search of a problem', no? But in defense of nation and country, it is not a negative but a positive that we, as much as possible, devise means and tactics to anticipate, counter, and hopefully prevail over other means and tactics that could mean the end of nation and country. It is not enough, as military history have shown, that a geographically large country is sufficient to deter an adversary. For example -- North America, less the region controlled by the newly independent United States, was far larger than said new nation-state. Care to guess who conquered this far larger territory? Care to guess how? In military affairs, particularly wars, it is good to have at one's disposal as many 'solutions' as possible lest we find ourselves in the predicament as that of not having a condom -- better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
