the new 3. airport like space base

IMG_1504.JPG

The technologies to be used at the airport are emerging. In the project like space base, the passengers will be covered by SMS. New and advanced technologies such as face, sound and fingerprint recognition will be used.

While working at the third airport, one of the biggest projects in Turkey, continues to be the fastest, its technological features are coming to light. The airport, which is planned to open its first phase in late 2018, will be a technology base. Self-check-in, self bag drop, face recognition, digital kiosks and display screens all around the airport are some of the new technologies that will be shown at the airport.

The latest technology

A team of 57 people works for the technologies that will bring the passenger experience to the top level. Approximately 200 million euros are planned to be invested in the infrastructures of information technology. IGA Executive Chairman Hüseyin Keskin said that objects, internet, wearable technology, LTE, wireless internet, beacon and bluetooth technologies will all be used to enhance passenger experience at the new airport. He added that the data obtained from these technologies will be blended and poured into a map, Keskin noted that this could be used for retail and eating and drinking places.

"We will have 90 million passengers a year in the first phase," Keskin said. There are 100 thousand employees. It is not possible for you to come here without the technology of human mobility, the operation of the administration and the administration. There is not such a big airport built from scratch in the world. It will be the newest and most technological airport. There will be big screens, digital panos everywhere. The passengers will have a sense of space and technology entering the base, "he said.

Very tight security

Hüseyin Keskin, pointing out that they will include technologies that are touching human beings starting from security, pointing out that "face recognition systems to be installed in terminal entry and critical zone transit at airport will match with criminal database and detect suspicions without passing to air side at terminal entrance. With video-assisted cameras, unattended baggage and suspicious activity will be automatically controlled. Safety will be raised to a higher level by establishing fingerprint and palm vein biometrics for identification at personnel entry and critical zone passengers at a high number of employees. "

SMS will also throw

He also informed that IGA's mobile application was available, and said that they are currently working continuously to improve the application in domestic use. Keskin said, "The airport will be opened for use by everyone in the future. This app will recognize you using it on the phone. When you leave your home for travel, you will be alerted to it by SMS, such as 'Use a lot of traffic or a metro system.' Or you will be sent a short message like 'your journey is 10 hours, air is rainy in Istanbul, bridge maintenance'. Your car will come to offer 18 thousand parking for the parking lot "gave information.

Keskin noted that a similar application to Ataturk Airport would be valid on the wireless internet and that the internet would be free for a certain period of time at a certain speed.

The queues will end ...

Indicating that they will use mobile sign, face and chest identification technologies, Keskin said:

"We will abandon crowds that will overwhelm passengers. At check-in points we will put in self bag check-in to reduce the queues, and self bag drop technology for luggage. With self bag drop you will be able to weigh your baggage without anyone on your own. Thousands of employees will benefit from wearable technology. We will communicate with each other through smart clocks or smart bands. 1.4 million m2 of area technicians will be able to access these technologies immediately, the nearest will solve the problem immediately. The employees will be technologically full, "he said.

This is another AKP project like Silicon Vadi for example, where they name a contruction project something an then expect companies to act accordingly.

I'll eat 1kg of Kuru fasulye if a single big non Turkish bank settles there.

In the Netherlands we have a saying which translates to something like 'If you don't shoot, it's always a miss'. Meaning, if you don't even try you are guaranteed to fail.

The financial center and bilisim vadisi are two projects with certain goals in mind. Now I don't know if there would've been better projects to achieve this goal, but I admire them for taking risks like this. That is what investing is, taking risks.

Even if they short their goal of being able to attract international companies, it will succeed in attracting national companies (or international companies that already have a presence in Turkey). This means these projects will close gaps between various organizations. Bilisim vadisi is going even further than that and close gaps between companies, various sectors of industry and create a more efficient bureaucracy.

Bilisim Vadisi or IT valley and what it is supposed to be:

Bilisim Vadisi will be built in phases, and they are currently constructing the first phase of it. The main building of Bilisim Vadisi is going to be occupied by Tubitak (if I remember correctly). According to the Bilisim Vadisi website, there are 20 companies and 65 companies that applied to it. http://bilisimvadisi.co/
In phase one it is projected that 2000 people will accommodated and it was supposed to finish in May of this year, but I couldn't find any news about it being opened. So maybe it got delayed a little.

This video explains a little about the project planning:
