This above is a complete teardown of Huawei Mate 10.

I will reproduce the components list:

Huawei Mate 10

NPU- Embedded based on Cambricon 1A instruction set

Time-of-Flight Sensor (ToF): STMicro VL530X
Image Sensors- Sony
Display Driver and integrated Touchscreen- Synaptics
DRAM- Micron 32GB LPDDR4
GPU- ARM Mali G72 12-core
RF Transceiver- Hi6363
PMIC - Hisilicon
Battery Charger- Hi6523

Flash Battery Charger- TI BQ25870

All of the above in red are Chinese indigenous components.

Let's remember here, that Huawei's phones are the most indigenous among Chinese smartphones, since they use an indigenous AP, Modem, NPU, PMIC, Audio Codec, Battery Charger etc.

@qwerrty @cirr
Any idea when we will have more Chinese components for the above?

I was specially interested in GNSS chipset.

@Martian2

Perhaps you would like to contribute too.

And please don't think this as some kind of slight. India is no where compared to China in manufacturing.

I am just curious as to what may be the next Chinese components in the list.

Integrated Touchscreen, DRAM and Memory, I guess.

BOE:http://www.boe.com/portal/en/shangyongyufuwu/xianshiqijian/pesx.html
This company are supplying the display panel for oppo, vivo and mi phone. It also get the ability to produce the flexible AMOLED.
https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/10/...echnology-shows-off-flexible-amoled-displays/
According to latest report, it may supply the OLED plane for huawei in next year.

About memory:China is establishing a set of manufacturies to produce NAND and DRAM. These manufacturies will be completed in the end of 2018 and 2019.

Broadcom BCM47531 GNSS also receive signals from Beidou, so I think china company cannot get additional advantage from it.

Yeah display looks promising. Also China is strong in fingerprint scanners as well.

As for memory, let's see. If China succeeds in memory it will be a big deal because memory is one of the biggest costs in a mobile.

As for GNSS, I say it because it is one of the easiest things to make.

Easiest things are also the most difficult ones in free market. Many chinese company are still buying basic capacitor from Japan, because Japanese capacitors have a little lower plague rate than chinese.

Can you give me your source?

Also, I just found out that there is technology company called Allystar Technology in China that is making GNSS chips. I tried visiting their site, but their english site wasn't working.

Can you possibly use your Chinese language skills to find out more about this company?

I know that it is collaborating with STMicro for GNSS. That is one potentially strong pairing.

The information on english web is incomplete. You can use google translate to read chinese web.

Yes, it also supply to oppo, vivo and mi phone. But a fingerprint sensor is very cheap in a phone.

Moreover, goodix supply capacitive touch controllers to samsung super amoled. So, it can also supply BOE's OLED touch panel in furture.
