It doesn't matter whose side you pick but if you are not a self sufficient country, you endanger yourself from being used. Right now everything may seem hunky-dory but minute some relationships go sour, skeletons roll off the closet. The biggest problem Pakistan had and still does is tp say "NO" -- it couldn't to the US and it can't to the Chinese. If it could, many projects with the Chinese could have seen a ton of jobs for locals.

It was always the Pakistani Army, Generals bidding and hooked on America, asking for military aid and weapons. Just see all the martial laws were supported by US. Terrible terrible loss of atleast 3 decades for Pakistan.

On the other hand when people of Pakistan, its parliament made decision regarding not sending Army to Yemen-Saudi war, look at the strength and benefits Pakistan recieved afterwards. Saudis went to beg Pakistan.

I know US weapons have always outclassed Chinese Weapons, in Pakistani capabable hands, what I was talking about by-passing the democratic setup and hence abrogating the constitution in helping American interests forward. Pak Army should have let other institution grow and not brough NROs lf Zardairi and Nawaz back.

For Pakistan the amount of lives, 100$ billion damages and blood it gave to American interests including Pak Army services should not have sold itself in a cheaper deal and costing Pakistan's own interests in long-term.

Pakistan must plan and play its cards concrete and robust, which benefit Pakistan many folds.

Yes i am aware of that. Chinese didnt want to be part of it because we didnt side with them back in 1962 also the govt in Bangladesh was socialist.

It's bloody obvious who Pakistan should align itself with. When US sided with India against China, Pakistan should know whose side it should be on. Yet we keep seeing these pointless entreaties to US about India, Kashmir, F-16s, or whatever.
