But that is Pakistan's choice. That is how simple it really is. If Lawmakers and the establishment in Pakistan decide to go ahead with CPEC than what does the USA have to do with that? It is a sovereign nation.

You should spare the concerned global citizens act. You could care less about what happens to Pakistan. The world works on mutual interests. America has decieved us too many times and has left no door open for any long term beneficial relations to be forged. From post 65 arms embardo to desertion in 71. From pressler amendment to salala attack they have always looked for their own benefits and ignored pakistans needs. Good idea, but before you do it is wise to insist China write-off all Pakistani debt. Further, Pakistan should renegotiate the terms and take full control of of all major Chinese funded projects. There is no free meal in realpolitik, "the taller than mountain" ..blah...blah rhetoric will not help Pakistan progress.

China cannot afford to lose Pakistan as an ally, time to leverage that reality.
