My view of Turkey is, it's a US ally and has relations with Israel. Turkey may be somewhat rich. But nothing we should be proud of.

There were Jews in Germany that used to vote for the Nazi party in the hope that the Nazi's would go easy in them if they could see they were getting Jew votes

Maybe these areas are so scared of more massacres their only option is to lower their heads and vote for hindutva parties
