How Turkey got LUCKY with the F-35?

You really think that's what happend at the Falklands? You come here and talk with the kahve ağzı. We already don't have complete control on our F-16s, our airforce is fully dependant on US, having F-35s would only increase our dependancy on a little level. But it's pros are:
  1. Tens of Billions of dollars worth of industrial participation that would give us the technology and the experience to develop the TF-X and contribute to our crappy economy at the same time
  2. Easily being able to gain air superiority if tensions increased in the E.Mediterranean.
  3. Having a stop-gap plane that would replace our aging fighters while we are waiting for the TF-X/MMU.
  4. Gaining experince on operating 5. generation Stealth jets with the most advanced fighter ever built.
You guys stupiditly think that we can gain technologies and experiences by pouring money into it. If so, Saudi Arabia would have been the most advanced state in the World. Even Japan which has much more experince than us wanted to join the Tempest or pay for the US to develop one for them; even though they proved themselves to be capable of developing a 5th generation plane with the Mitsubishi X-2 Shinshin.

We need air defence systems. But not a one like the S-400. Do you really think that S-400 can shot down an F-16 from 400 kilometers? :D We already have the Siper coming up, we could've waited for another 3 or 4 years more if we managed to wait for 30 years already. And we also didn't needed an ADS like the S-400 that has questionable BMD capacities.

You can't control an airspace with only air defence systems. You can make A2AD with S-400s, but you can't fully control your airspace. Please read the thread in the link:
When it comes to the economics; we could have gained tens of billions of dollars by both the industrial participations and having an F-135 maintanence center in Turkey that would also give us critical technologies.

Do you really think we can gain air superiority with an propeller driven drone? :omghaha:
------------------
History shows us that the side that has the air superiority always wins. Be it the WW2, Arab-Israeli wars, the Falklands or the Gulf Wars... it doesn't matter. Just back in March we saw an another example of that. How can you guys forget that?
Nobody ignores the air superiority. The F35 may be a solution for USAF (it's also not certain), but not for us. I will not continue anymore.

Huh?
So I guess then F-16 is a solution for USAF but not for Turkey:lol:

Guess again. Not every military product that the US pukes out on the market meets the needs of all international customers. I could explain the math to you, but I don't want to. If you're still confused, ask the Canadians.

And yet they procure US made product. Explain that to me. Or ask the Canadians

. .
They produce US made product? What exactly are you talking about? You're not making any sense.
Yoohoo, I am talking about international customers. Are you that dense that already got lost after 2 comments?
Get off that vodka Ivan while it’s not too late:partay:

I try not to argue with people who appear to be mental midgets, so have a nice day.

Turkey won't be getting any F-35s now, or 10 years later. This is a GOOD THING, and here's why:

It's just a 10 minute video interview with the designer of the super-successful F-16 and A-10 fighters. Please watch it and understand why the F-35 is fundamentally flawed and doomed to fail against any enemy with a modern Air Force.
Old ideas and old men dont survive..innovation does

That's funny. Because the only thing that separates an "old idea" from a new "innovation" is time. So if old ideas don't survive, neither should innovations.

That said, F-35 is shit and unsuitable for Turkey's needs due to reasons aforementioned in the thread. You're welcome to take a look and contribute more than a dumb one-liner.

27 febuary attack and counter attack between pakistan and india proved that
Stealth, ECM warfare, BVRs and guided weapons is the new game
Nothing comes close to 6 aim120 BVRs of f35a or 2x2 bvr+ guided weapons ..

So for sure f35 is useless if turkey is going to play a bully with syria libya..but greece is going to beat shit out of TuAF if they get f35 and turkey doesnt have them.

The guy himself said "useless electronics"
In the 1970s we didnt had computers..he is a guy who belongs to thw tgird generation of aviation

. .
LOL. Sorry, you lost me there. :D
Well greece did knock out one f16 before..

Dont be surprised if 2 fozens f35 knock out tuaf f16s...
Remeber future conficts will be short lived ...
You saw what turkey did to syria or russia after someone bombed it soldiers

I dont know if you remember or ever heard about it. That Greece was, or still is by some experts, in the biggest economy trouble in his history. After recovering a bit since 2 years, the next blow is waiting infront of the door (covid-19). Now, after cutting the defence budget, you think they can/will buy the most expensive plan in the world?

Lets say they will and get. How many years will pass until they get all the F-35? How long will it takes, until they will be operational, including pilots.

Just hypothetically, the current crisis between them, how long will it takes until one side will "solve" the problem. In one way or another.
