Last I heard the Tasmanian Tigers has been extinct since 1930's and Tasmanian Devils being protected because they have a type of cancer and they are dying out.

Their number aren't that bad, I think it's around the same number with Koala, but unlike Koala, their population are spread over Tasmanian only (I meant wildlife population, not captive population) hence the conversation status are more critical than Koala.

Yeah I don't think they will find any, the last Tassie Tiger died in 1933 before Australia has strict rules etc.

I hope we do find a few but I doubt it.

Oh well, I don't think they are trying to clone Tassie Tiger, I think they do not have enough sample to unlock the DNA sequence. (From a TV program somewhere)

There may be some Tassie Tiger left in the wild, but If I remember correctly, they are searching for it for over 30 years (since 1980) and not finding any.

There is a massive program to save them from the endangered list, and they are making a come back slowly.
